BareEase & Cream

Numbing Kit for Bikini Wax

Comfortably Numb

Plenty of women know how much it hurts to get a bikini wax, but not many women have the medical credentials to do something about the pain. Anesthesiologist Edna Ma – who knows all about pain relief – has the perfect skills to tackle this sensitive (to put it mildly) issue.

After getting her first bikini wax, Dr. Ma started working on a remedy for the pain. Her solution, called BareEase & Cream, includes a topical cream that
numbs your bikini area prior to waxing or laser hair removal. The active ingredient in the numbing cream is Lidocaine, a common local anesthetic. To keep the cream from rubbing off your skin and onto your clothes, the kit also includes a pair of latex panties. The undergarment is a key part of the solution: It provides a barrier to lock in the cream and enable the Lidocaine to do its job.

We all know women will go through a lot of discomfort to look good – and a bikini wax ranks among the most dreaded beauty treatments we endure. But with BareEase & Cream, it doesn’t have to be such an uncomfortable experience..

My name is Anna Mendoza and I am the BareEase & Cream Ambassador. I love beauty products and I am always on the lookout for the newest and

coolest beauty trend. I discovered BareEase & Cream last summer and was relieved to find a solution to the discomfort of bikini waxing. I hate

waxing but I love the results, especially in spring and summer. BareEase & Cream made my waxing experience infinitely better and now I can wax

comfortably on a regular basis. The cream helps relieve the sting from waxing. I also bought a kit for my sister and she used hers for laser hair

removal treatment. She was thrilled with the results and is always recommending it to her friends for laser and waxing hair removal services. I am honored

to be a featured guest on the Daily Grommet so please let me know if I can answer any questions or concerns.

I bought this product because I was told it was great. A little sceptical - I would do anything to make a bikini wax less painful! IT WORKS!!!! Love this product and highly suggest it to all my friends. Try it and you will see.

What is the concentration/percentage of the active ingredient? Is it prescription strength? How long does the cream need to stay on to be effective? And finally, is it safe if it comes into contact with vaginal tissue (not just skin)?

    Thanks so much

@AKR: The highest level available over the counter is 4 % and anything greater needs a doctor's prescription. Lidocaine that is prescribe does not include a panty to provide an occlusive barriers, doctors usually provide saran wrap which is unglamorous and uncomfortable. The prescription version is more expensive and the lidocaine is combine with two other topical analgesics: benzocaine and tretacaine. The panties need to be on for at least 30 minutes and it is safe to use inner and outer areas of the vagina.

Don't you need an Rx for lidocaine?

@Maxine: I will let Anna clarify if needed, but the numbing cream offers the maximum amount of lidocaine available as an over the counter medication.

I also wanted to share with you that BareEase & Cream is also great for laser hair removal treatments.

I wonder if this can also be used for the eyebrow and above the lip before threading, which I prefer to waxing.

@Yvonne Moss: The cream would work great for that. They don't sell the cream without the bikini, though. Maybe that is something they will do in the future.
