RAINRAPS

Waterproof Wrap

Accessorize for Rainy Skies

Don’t be surprised if you find yourself wishing for rain just so you have an excuse to break out your RainRap. Designed by longtime friends Stacy Struminger and Rachel Teyssier, RainRap is a one-size-fits-all waterproof wrap. It’s the antithesis of a stiff, utilitarian rain slicker. You can wear it like a pashmina or shawl, and it drapes effortlessly. It’s reversible, so you can choose which side to highlight depending on your outfit.

Besides being stylish, RainRaps are practical. The fabric dries quickly, and the wrap folds up small so you can tuck it into a handbag or backpack when the skies clear. Hooded and classic styles are available in eight color combinations.

Stacy and Rachel came up with the idea for RainRap because they wanted a stylish, waterproof outerwear option for those times when it wasn’t cold or stormy enough for a long raincoat or trench. It’s ideal for dreary days, and it works well with all kinds of outfits so you can stay dry without sacrificing style. A little rain? Bring it on.

We are so excited for the RAINRAP to be featured on Daily Grommet. The timing could not be more perfect with the holiday season just around the corner, the RAINRAP makes a perfect gift for all the women in your life. The RAINRAP was designed by myself and my partner, two stay at home moms and best friends who were frustrated with the lack of fashionable attire in our wardrobes. The RAINRAP is water-resistant, reversible, lightweight, one size fits all and soft. The RAINRAP is available in two styles, the Original RAINRAP and the Hooded RAINRAP with Travel Pouch. We welcome the opportunity to chat with our customers and answer any questions you may have. We look forward to hearing from you.

Seems like it would be a wonderful thing to keep in the car. But when I tried to purchase it -- one second after I received your Daily Grommet email -- I found it was out of stock, with no option to request notification when it becomes available. I won't be responding to any more Grommets.

One size does not fit all. These do not look long enough to cover the rear end. There are no sizes listed nor length, so it is difficult to know just what this rain cape covers. I like the design and the look, but this has to be a functional garment.

I am 5"11" and over 250 pounds. Although you say one size fits all it would not fit me. perhaps you should change to one size fits most or make some that are longer and larger or smaller since the one that you list as 25.5" would reach my aunts heels since she is 4"11" tall and very petite. I love the idea but please think about the not "regular" people. There are more of us than one would think.

Hi, I'm a student and have had to use a plastic rain poncho with hood for rainy days to cover myself and my backpack (filled with books and schoolwork). I also ride my bike to school. Please consider another design that would accommodate closing the front with a zipper, snaps or velcro and that would go to knee-length. Such a design would work great for many college students and look much nicer than plastic ponchos!

This looks like a wonderful idea! I live on the far northern coast of California and we have 2 seasons: fog and wet. The rains can start in October and last until May or June so rain gear is something everyone wants. Here in Humboldt county if you plan on wearing a raincoat - you are gonna look for one with a hood. (Unless you want to tote an umbrella as well). So may I make a suggestion that besides more color selections (and stock) in the hooded version and a plus size for us vibrant women, that you please add a button, clasp, zipper or velcro so that the garment stays on when the wind is blowing- as it usually is with the rain storms. While the knotted rainwrap looks very fashionable, it leaves alot of the wearer's clothing exposed to the elements. Please put me on your notification list as I would like to check back and see what you come up with in the future. I need a new rain coat this year and I wanted this to be it, but I think I'm going to have to go with something from LLBean that closes securely.

My grand daughter did not like the blah colors. it would be a great idea if they could be made in Polka Dots or such and then something for boys. My grandchildren live in areas where it might be sun shine when they leave for school and raining or drizzling when they leave school. Just a thought.

    1. Are the "raincoats" warm?

It sounds as if RAINRAPS could be the answer to my rainwear problems. I am handicapped, use a walker and cannot safely use an umbrella. I need rain protection that will stay closed if windy, has a hood that will stay up, and that offers reasonable coverage/length. With some tweaking, RAINRAPS may do the trick. Is this asking too much?

I just received my hooded rainrap. Very nice feel to the material - soft enough to act as a scarf when not using it as a shield from the rain (except for the hood...).

I would have appreciated more information on the item: it is not actually rectangular. It is more a trapezoid shape when laid flat, so that the left side has more fabric than the right. This means that the item is more naturally inclined to go over the left shoulder rather than the right shoulder.
