What is your return policy?

If you find you are not fully satisfied with a Grommet, we will accept returns within 30 days after you placed your order for a full refund. For certain Grommets, restrictions and restocking fees apply and will be outlined in the "Details" tab on the individual Grommet's page. For Grommets that are food items, hygiene or cosmetics related, returns may not be accepted.

All Grommets need to be returned in like-new, resalable condition and in their original, undamaged packaging (not shipping materials, just product packaging). Otherwise Grommets are subject to a 50% restocking fee.

Returns are handled far more quickly if done via email rather than the phone. To request a return please use our contact form and include:

  • Your name
  • Order number
  • Grommet to be returned
  • Reason for the return

You will receive a Return Authorization (RMA) number as well as the address to which the Grommet should be returned – this is often different than the return address on the package. Return Merchandise (RMA) numbers are required for all returns so they can be processed properly. Returns that are received by our warehouse or that of our Grommet partners without an RMA will be refunded as store credit, provided they are in resalable condition. Non-resalable returns will be subject to a 50% restocking fee

You are responsible for return shipping unless the item is defective or there was a shipping issue as a result of our error.

Do I have to pay for shipping to return a Grommet?

Unless the Grommet is defective, it is your responsibility to pay for return shipping.

How do I get my refund?

Once we receive your return and verify its condition, we will process a refund for you. It can take up to 7 days to see the credit on your credit card or PayPal account. If the return is not received within 30 days of purchase, your refund will be issued as a store credit to your Grommet account instead of being credited back to your original method of payment. Please note that for refunds for orders where a promotion was applied, the refund amount will be adjusted according to the rules of the promotion. 

Can I exchange my item for a different size or color?

Yes, if the Grommet Maker accepts exchanges. Exchanges can be processed more quickly if done via email vs. the phone. To request a return please use our contact form and include:

  • Your name
  • Order number
  • Grommet purchased
  • Grommet you'd like to receive in exchange
  • Reason for the exchange

The fastest way to do an exchange is to order a new Grommet on the site, and return the existing Grommet according to the above Returns Procedures.

You will be required to pay for the return shipping and for the shipping of the new item. Grommets that are not suitable for returns or exchanges will be stated as such on the Product Details.

How do I return a gift I received?

The same process for our returns above applies to returned gifts. Please contact us with the following information:

  • Your name
  • Order number
  • The name of the person who purchased the item
  • The item to be returned
  • Reason for the return

We can issue a refund for a returned gift in one of two ways: we can refund the purchaser’s card, or we can issue you a store credit.

What do I do if I received a damaged Grommet?

Contact us and let us know your name and order number. We’ll send you a replacement immediately. If you could also attach a picture of the defect, that would be helpful.
