Travalo

Refillable Perfume Atomizer

Portable Perfume

Traveling with your favorite perfume is always a gamble. Will it break in your suitcase? Leech into every article of clothing you packed? Get confiscated by the TSA because the bottle is too big?

Travalo takes away the worry. It’s a pocket-sized perfume atomizer, not much bigger than a lipstick tube, and it’s designed specifically for travel. The inventor, Carmit Tordjman, thought of all the little details that make it work so well. She used her engineering background to create a compact pump and spray mechanism. Her
Genie-S refill port, which is inspired by a refillable cigarette lighter, is really ingenious. You simply insert your perfume’s aerosol nozzle into the Travalo’s refill valve and apply downward pressure, pumping until the Travalo is full. No messy funnels required!

Travelo comes in two styles that are easy to stash in a purse, toiletry kit (for men, too), carry-on or checked luggage. Excel is a classic model in a great range of colors, and Elite features a raised-dot aluminum case. They will both put an end to perfume spills and keep you fresh and fragrant, even on the go.

Looks wonderful, but can't take it on an airplane while 3 oz is the limit per liquid item. I'll probably buy one anyway for other uses.

@Carrie: 5ml is less than 1 ounce, so there should not be a problem taking it on a plane.

These are selling fast. It is clear that Carmit wasn't alone in her need for a better solution! If you are wondering what others are buying..the classic red is the most popular with classic pink and silver in a tie for second.

I AM HAVING PROBLEMS FILLING THE BOTTLE. DO YOU NEED TO BE USING A SPECIAL PERFUME BOTTLE OR DO THEY ALL WORK?

  • Katherine

@Holly: I spoke with Lisa and she says "They all work if the spray part of your perfume can be removed to show just the nub of the applicator, you then follow directions on back of box or insert from egg packaging. Place Travalo on top of your perfume nub with spray attachment from your perfume removed so nub will fit into bottom of Travalo. Then push Travalo up and down as you would to spray your perfume on so up and down until Travalo is filled."

I received my travalo today but there are no directions. I'm giving this as a gift so I would have expected directions to come with it. Can directions be emailed to me?

Travalo seemed like a good idea, so I ordered two Classic versions. They arrived today. I immediately filled one with a favorite fragrance and promptly ordered two more. When I travel, I usually pack a small vial of some sample fragrance which is rarely anything I'd buy - to avoid packing (checking) my usual fragrance. This is one fabulous product that I'd highly recommend!

Some of my favorite perfumes don't come in spray bottles. How would I transfer them to these cases?

Or with spray ones, if I can't get the cap off the spray for the perfumes that do come in spray bottles?

@Wendy Hoechstetter: Travalo highly recommends that you to fill Travalo from a fragrance spray. However, they say that if you really must... here's how to fill from a 'pour' bottle:

    1. Get a small plastic travel spray bottle. They are available at many pharmacies and drug stores 2. Try to get one with a softer press, and a small sized nozzle, or you may damage your Travalo! 3. Pour into the plastic bottle 4. Refill your Travalo (do not overfill!)

*As for removing the spray nozzle from other bottles -- you shouldn't have much trouble as the spray part typically just "pops" off with a gentle pull

for a long time you could only buy this in the UK so I bought it there a few years ago. I love this product. it's easy to add perfume from your spray bottle and it travels easily through airport security.

Hi I bought 2 of these, one for me and one for my guy.

It works great with my everyday cologne/perfume, but doesn't work with the atomizer on my good stuff. The same happened with my guys favorite more expensive cologne. The transfer from the orignal bottle to the atomizer wouldn't fit.

I have not had any leakage problems and think it is a good product.

Can you fill this from a bottle without a atomizer also? Is there a way to pour the perfume into it?

We are sorry Ann you cannot pour perfume into our atomizer, It was designed to be air tight. What I can suggest is purchasing a empty small spray bottle from your local store, pour some of your fragrance into it and take the spray head off and pump into the Travalo. We use this option at shows to demonstrate to customers with a pour top only fragrance.

How many pumps of cologne/perfume do you get out after you fill it up? Just wondering if it would be enough to last my husband on a 3 day business trip or more of just an overnight thing? I'm thinking Christmas for sure!

Don't people not know what kind of health problems they put others through with these perfumes? Or do they just not care? They range from causing severe migraine headaches to causing Anaphylactic shock just from the misfortune of being downwind from someone using a product like this. Seriously, if you think you smell so bad that you need to use a product like this, bathe a bit more often.

Hi. I bought several of the Travalos for family and friends a little while back, and everyone has enjoyed them. I did experience a leak problem with one of mine. How can I fix this? I have a few, each with a different fragrance when I want a change. I absolutely LOVE these!! I'm glad to see this item come up again!! Thanks
