or fumbling around during an electrical outage, a PowerCap will come to your rescue.

Are the batteries replaceable? What kind of battery?

    Hi Donna,

You can always find this information in the details which you can see when you click into a specific product (where it says "buy"). Then the details are listed directly underneath the orange button that says Add to Cart.

These caps come with four replaceable CR2032 batteries included that will provide up to 43 Hours of light.

@Amy do you think this hat would be good for reading in bed when your partner

    wants the lights out?

    Hi Linda,

Good question. I think it could be ok, however the lights are fairly bright so I'd be concerned it would bother your partner while they're trying to sleep.

    Hi there,

You can always find this info in the details portion (see above) but the answer is that the cap includes four enclosed LED bulbs and provides 48 lumens.

Can the hat be washed in the washing machine after removal of the batteries and still work after you reinsert the batteries?

    Hi Joseph,

I'll check with the partner on this. He did tell us a story of someone fishing it out of the lake when it fell in, and it still worked after. However, we wouldn't recommend this as a regular practice. Doing a surface clean on it would be best.

@Amy Chuck here from Panther Vision...the POWERCAP is washable by hand or you can place it on the top rack of the dishwasher without heated drying. Just remove the batteries, wash and air dry. Wipe out any residual moister with a paper towel in the battery compartment, re-install the batteries and you are good to go.

Why not just buy one of those lights that clips onto the brim of your cap?

    Hi Jim,

Thanks for the question. We think this hat is a great problem solver because it means you don't need an extra component to your hat. The lights are built right in and will never fall out as an extra attachment might.

@Amy The clip-on lights hang down into your field of vision and are typically under powered. Most have (5) LEDs and only two batteries. You need one three volt CR-2032 battery per bulb to fully power them and get decent run time (up to 75 hours.) Also, the clips can break in cold weather.

Four lights is cool, but in some instances all four might be too much, does the cap let you use just two of the LEDs?

    Hi Lynda,

Thanks for the question. It has one simple switch and that uses all 4 lights at once.

Looks like there is some sort of logo, but I can't quite make it out. Any better shots of this? And is it on all colors?

    Hi Ceallaigh,

There is a logo for the company on all the caps. It's on all the colors, but might show up stronger on certain colors. It tends to blend in overall. I will see if we can get a better shot for you.

    Hi Linda,

Sure you can. It is bright though, so it might disturb a partner.
