Awesome product!

3/2/14 by Nate for Handcrafted Leather Strop

I've had the Razor Renew for a few weeks now and I love it. I use it to renew the razors I shave my head with and it's like having a new blade all the time, even though it's 2 months old!

It's built well and works wonders!

I recommend this to anyone who uses a blade to shave, especially my bald brothers out there!

Excellent!! Buy it!

2/23/14 by James for Handcrafted Leather Strop

All my life I've seen the leather strops on barber's chairs and never understood how it worked. I still don't. But, it does. I've been using my new strop for three weeks, and have to admit, it really does condidtion the blade. In fact, it feels better the second or third day than it does brand new out of the pack. I'm still using the same blade and it feels as good as the second day. I still don't understand it, but just buy it!!

Reduces razor burn - guarenteed

2/18/14 by Aashish for Handcrafted Leather Strop

That alone makes it worth it. Let's face it, the blade does not get dull because it's somehow losing metal atoms, right? A little sharpening and it's as good as new again. Also, sharpening does not take a lot of time. A few swipes and you're good.

"Razor" Sharp

2/9/14 by Lori for Handcrafted Leather Strop

I bought this as a stocking stuffer for my guy, who is an amazing cook and keeps his knives very sharp. He loves this and says that using a strop is the only way to get your knives razor sharp. Plus, this strop easily attaches to a door or cabinet handle, making the sharpening process so much easier. This was money well spent.

I have heard from two of the guys that I gave these to. They both are very pleased and think that it definitely helps a lot.

Excellent!

1/16/14 by Susan for Handcrafted Leather Strop

I gave this strop to my son for a Christmas gift. He really loves it and uses it everyday. He has a heavy beard and hated shaving because he got razor-burn easily. Only brand new triple type blades would work for him. Using the leather strop to keep his razor blades sharp is like a new blade each time he shaves.

Great service

1/7/14 by Gary F. for Handcrafted Leather Strop

Shipping was quick and safely packaged. The strap appears to be working for the first week. We will see if it really will make Mach 3 last a month over time.

Razor Renew - Sharpening Tool

About Razor Renew

Look Sharp

John Mecham was tired of spending money on pricey disposable razors. In his quest for a better option, he invented Razor Renew, a leather tool that manually sharpens and polishes not just razor blades but also knives, scissors and other cutting instruments.

John’s tool is similar to the leather strops that old-school barbers use to sharpen straight edge razors. In the same way, Razor Renew can smooth the burrs and scratches on a disposable razor, bringing it back to like-new sharpness. What’s different is the material. John found that cowhide, which is great for straight edges, is too harsh
for thin razor blades. He experimented with different leathers and different designs before settling on a two-sided combination: a suede side to sharpen and hone the metal, and a smooth leather side to smooth and polish. The short version is for blades less than 3 inches long, and the long version works with larger knives, scissors and other blades.

If you’re looking to get more use out of disposable razors, or you want a DIY tool to maintain your knives and scissors, Razor Renew is a handy solution. It’s made in the U.S., and it’s designed to last a lifetime if you care for it properly. John wouldn’t have it any other way.
