Ruff Dawg

Throw and Retrieve Toys

Go Fetch!

Dave Pentland knows rubber. As the owner of Jefferson Rubber Works, he helped create water bladders and rubber tubing for military gas masks. He realized the same extrusion tools could be used to make dog toys, and voila, Dave’s “pet project” became its own tail-wagging division called Ruff Dawg.

Made in the U.S., Ruff Dawg’s throw-and-retrieve dog toys are 100% thermal plastic rubber, which is a great fit for pets because
it’s natural, nontoxic, gentle on teeth and gums, and durable enough to resist tears and punctures. Ruff Dawg’s tried-and-true classic is the K9 Flyer, which feels a lot nicer than hard plastic against your pooch’s sensitive jowls and gums. The Gummy Bear has room for treat storage so dogs can chow down after they’ve chased it down, and so does the Wabbit, which travels fast and bounces crazily.

Aiming for hound heaven, Ruff Dawg’s newest canine creation is the Cat-A-Pult. Add a treat, launch it, and watch the fun unwind. Your pooch will be the envy of the dog park.

    Let me know if you have ANY dog (or horse) toys that our 225 pound Mastiff can't demolish in a week. We are desperately searching for a line of toys for GIANT dogs!!!

    I'm loving the look of your dog toys but I have a question. Can the disc be made smaller for smaller dogs? The one you are showing is rather large for my girl.

    @ Deb Hi Deb, and thank you for your reply. Yes we do make a smaller K9 Flyer for smaller dogs. The regular Flyer is 9 1/2" in diameter the K9 Jr. is 6 1/2" Stay tuned to Daily Grommet for some of my other great products made for all size dogs!

    @ Jerry Moffett - Hi Jerry: I also wondered about the size of the toys - my granddogter is an 18-lb maltipoo, & I'd love to get her a toy that she can't destroy in minutes, but can get in her little mouth. I was thinking about the red toy, can you give dimensions? Thanks.

    @Marilyn Stefano: Thrilled that you have a grand-"dog"-ter ;0) to spoil. If you are referring to the red Gummy Bear, it's 6”H x 3”W. There's also 2 holes for treat storage and to avoid tongue suction. You can get info on all the toys at the DETAILS tab (under video & photos).

    I wanted to share my two cents about the KI9 Flyer. My lab mutt can shred a frisbee in less than a minute. I stopped buying any sort of frisbee, no matter how durable it seemed to be because none lasted more than one throw. Many years ago, we played with a K9 flyer at a dog park and have been hooked ever since. They last for at least a year and they are my baby's favorite toy.

    Thanks Amy;

    I agree that our rubber disc is the best by far on the market. I would put my K9 flyer up against all others for durablity and flyiing distance.

    Thanks you for the support of Ruff Dawg!

    Are the k9 fliers floppy? My Boxer loves the soft floppy disc that came in a bag of dog food several years ago but will not play with any of the firmer disks. He likes to retrieve the old one folded in half in his mouth.

    @ Kathy: The K9 flier is made of soft natural rubber, malleable and gentle on teeth & gum. Your boxer will love it. Watch the video and see how Sidney is having lots of fun with his.
