Organic Multi Nut Butter

Not Your Average Nut Butter

All peanut butter is not created equal. At one end of the spectrum are spreads loaded with trans fat, hydrogenated oils and preservatives. At the other end is NuttZo, a nutritional powerhouse.

The recipe for NuttZo came from company founder Danielle LiVolsi, who made it her mission to prepare creative, super-nutritious foods after she and her husband adopted two boys from the Ukraine who were vitamin deficient. Now she’s sharing her delicious multi-nut butter with the world.

NuttZo blends seven key ingredients: Valencia
peanuts, flax seed, hazelnuts, cashews, almonds, Brazil nuts and sunflower seeds. The combination delivers a powerful shot of protein, minerals, Omega-3 fatty acids and more. Granted, NuttZo looks a bit strange at first, with whole flax seeds and hazelnut chunks floating around the mixture. But we were won over by its great taste.

So was startup advisor and dedicated weight lifter Apollo Sinkevicius. We asked Apollo to give NuttZo a try, since he eats peanut butter every morning as part of his weight-training regime. “Regular peanut butter provides the good fats you need, but in most cases, you also have to take supplements to make sure you have all of your Omegas for the day,” he says. “One serving of NuttZo replaces one giant flax seed oil pill.” The biggest plus is the taste, Apollo says: “The mix of nuts NuttZo uses creates just enough sweetness.”

So try it on crackers, apple slices or celery — or enjoy it by the spoonful. You may never reach for plain old peanut butter again.

Fitness and nutrition have always been an integral part of my life. After adopting two boys from the Ukraine who were vitamin deficient, I became even more focused on preparing creative, flavorful, super-nutritious foods. NuttZo is an Omega-3 powerhouse of nutrition blended into a delectable butter that provides 50% of your daily value of ALA-Omega 3. Kids and adults alike love the taste!

My husband and I started a foundation called Project Left Behind ( after meeting the beautiful orphaned Ukrainian children. NuttZo is a proud supporter of this foundation.

I'm honored to share Nuttzo with you and your family. Thanks for taking time to learn more about it today on Daily Grommet. I look forward to reading your comments and am happy to answer your questions.

It sounds so wonderfully nutritious and delicious. My question is, are the nuts/seeds listed all that is in NuttZo? Are there any other fillers or sweetners. My hope is that there is not; that the nuts/seeds are the bare essentials.

    Hi Joan,

Thank you for your interest. NuttZo is free of fillers and sweeteners, and again only Kosher salt, Vitamin E, and Natural Tocopherols are added to preserve freshness. The natural ingredients, and natural oils and fats released from the 7 different organic nuts and seeds are what make NuttZo so delicious!

I also would love to try a little before buying 2 large jars, and so would welcome a trial size when it's available. Better yet, how about a tasting party at The Daily Grommet here in Lexington, MA? That way, many of us could taste it and then buy some if we like it. What's the possibility of doing that?

I agree it is expensive peanut butter, but when you consider how many servings are in a typical jar of peanut butter, it probably comes out to less than $1 per serving, and the ingredients sound like high quality organic ingredients (that's just my personal observation, no one asked me to say that!)

Thank you so much for your support of NuttZo. You are 100% correct in saying that it comes out to less than $1 per serving, there are actually 14 servings in one jar! And of course NuttZo is made from the highest quality Organic ingredients, we wouldn't provide you with anything less!

I've learned that you have to pay for quality food. Cheap low-quality ingredients don't cost much, so the end cost is low. The p'nut butter I grew up with is not as expensive as this, but it has sugar and partially hydrogenated oils which prevent the oils from separately, but partially hydrogenated oils ARE REALLY BAD FOR YOU! I haven't tasted this product, so I am just commenting on the price.

I'm as price conscious as the next person but when I find a great product backed by an organization that finds a way to "give back" I don't mind spending the extra $. Danielle and her husband founded and support Project Left Behind (see details in "Talk about this Grommet" at the top of this page). As Martha would say, "It's a good thing."
