Your money will feel like a million bucks and your plastic fantastic with these hip wallets from Dynomighty Design. They’re made from 25% recycled content, and they’re stain-, tear- and water-resistant. While they look ultra-thin, there’s plenty of room for dry cleaning receipts, business cards and a wad of crisp Benjamins.

Mighty Wallets are the creation of artist and designer Terrence Kelleman, who envisioned a wallet made from a single folded sheet of Tyvek. Think express mail envelopes. When you consider the
wear and tear our wallets take every day, Terrence’s idea to build a wallet made of this virtually indestructible material is genius. Plus, the stitch-less construction is designed to expand with use, releasing more storage capacity when it’s needed (perfect for that certain someone with a triple-decker-stacked wallet).

Terrence’s quirky designs add tons of personality to this billfold. Traditionalists might be drawn to My Old Wallet, which is a reproduction of Terrence’s first wallet from his grandfather. The teens who tested the Mighty Wallets for us gravitated to his Peace, Gorilla and Bubble Gum designs. The Graffiti wallet, decked out with street art images, is perfect for the urban hipster or city slicker, while your favorite banker might appreciate Dinero.

No matter your preference, you’ll find the Mighty Wallet is mighty great.

Terrence thank you for forwarding these additional pics and video. I love how well you were able to capture the look of your original wallet!

Here is a video that tells the full story of that first wallet:

Here's a video about the inspiration for the graffiti wallet.

Terrence - since the kids loved the Gorilla - can you let us know what the inspiration/story behind that one was?

Also - for any guy who still has a thick wallet in your back pocket consider making the switch to thin. Years of sitting on that wallet - especially while driving can cause serious back pain!

I'm so glad I listened to the 'my first wallet' video to the very end to hear Terrence's comments about his grandfather. I'm thinking graduation gifts, First Communion gifts here. Better than the gift cards.

    Thanks Katherine!

Each Mighty Wallet has its own story and the "My Old Wallet" story is one of my favorite.

The “My old wallet” is a wallet design that came from the first wallet I was ever given. My grandpa Bob gave me this wallet when I was just a little boy. Somehow I managed to keep this wallet over 30 years and found it when I was looking through some old boxes of personal stuff I had stored away.

My grandpa Bob isn’t alive any more and he never got to see the Mighty Wallet version of the wallet he gave to me. But I know that he would be very proud of the success of Dynomighty and he would have loved to see all the crazy product designs I come up with.

I think he would be proud of this design and he’d brag about me to all his friends. I'm sure he would have used a Mighty Wallet himself so he could show it off to anyone he came across at the gas station, mall or track.

PS - thanks DAD (you rock too).

@ Katherine, The Gorilla Mighty Wallet was taken from an illustration of my wife, Ingrid Mourreau-Kelleman, who is an artist and childrens book illustrator.

I'm so excited about using her amazing illustrations in our collection because they are really great and I hope we can do more in the future.

    Hi Terrernce.

This type of product would be great as a fanny/hip pack that attached around your waist and has a zippered compartment. Also would love to see some larger wallets for women!

Terrence - it's an illustration of your wife! Now we need to see a picture of your wife to see how much she resembles this mighty ape! ;) That's great that you can collaborate!

I also love seeing your love for your Grandpa. I'm certain he would have been proud!

What perfect timing - I need a gift for our ever impossible to shop for teenaged nephew. I'm thinking that the combination of this with a gift card or cash would be perfect.

@Kate - That's a great idea to combine the Mighty Wallet and a gift card! We have some of our younger customers who love the designs so much that they collect different designs.

    Hello Terrence,

Great concept! If the user writes temporary notes on the Graffiti style wallet with a pencil, can they erase them?

@Julia, I have just been in touch with Terrence who says that these cannot be written on with pencil. I love the Graffiti one, too. I'm having a hard time deciding which is my favorite!
