Bionic Glove

Ergonomic Gardening Gloves

Anatomy of a Good Glove

Who better to design a gardening glove than an expert in the anatomy of the hand and the science of ergonomics?

Dr. James Kleinert is a renowned orthopedic hand surgeon, and he put his expertise to work creating a better gardening glove that can give you a tighter grip while reducing calluses and blisters. What makes these Bionic gloves unique is the strategic placement of pads that align with the natural peaks and valleys in our hands. The padding compensates for points where the bones in our hands would normally rub
against tools, causing blisters and calluses. There are also neoprene patches over the knuckles to enable easier movement, and webbed zones between the fingers to allow air flow and keep your hands from overheating.

We’re featuring two styles, both made from soft, buttery cabretta leather. The Rose Gardening style has an extra long gauntlet (the part that covers your forearms) and extra padding on the thumb to protect from thorns. Even if you’re not a rose gardener, you’ll appreciate the extra coverage when you’re doing any kind of yard work that could scratch your arms, like trimming hedges or pruning bushes. The Classic Gardening style has a form-fitting neoprene closure to support your wrist and help keep debris from sneaking inside the glove.

Dr. Kleinert’s dedication to comfort, fit and performance – and his sincere desire to help people improve the quality of their lives — gives a whole new meaning to the expression “fits like a glove.”

I'm Vickie and I'm proud to represent Bionic Gloves, the only glove designed by an orthopedic hand surgeon. Blisters? Calluses? Poor hand grip? Hand Strain? All of these issues are addressed in our ergonomically engineered gloves. You will find no other glove to protect you better. How can I help you with your questions?

I'm considering these for my dad as he's the gardener in the family. He really enjoys his roses but I notice your 'rose gloves' are only women sizes. Please advise.

@Vickie, another question. I just went upstairs to check with Jen on the pricing. I was sure there must be a mistake on our site, when I saw the longer gauntlet Rose Gardening gloves and Men's gloves all at $29. That leather is so gorgeous, it has to be expensive. What's you logic in this rather unconventional pricing?

I meant to get this sizing chart in here earlier:

To find out your glove size, measure (in inches) around your dominant hand with a tape measure at the place indicated on the picture below. Use the tape measurements above to determine your proper glove size.

Last fall I bought a second pair to make sure I have a back-up in case something happens to my first. LOVE them!

Amy: I am sorry but we no longer carry the men's style of the rose gloves. You might want to check out The Rose who has carried these for awhile and might have some men's sizes.

If you follow the guide above and measure the area around your knuckles then convert those inches into glove size it really is a very effective way to buy our gloves.

The Classic Bionic gloves are produced using washable sheepskin and the Rose Bionic gloves are produced using washable goatskin, therefore we priced them the same. We recently reduced our pricing on all gloves to be more marketplace friendly. Hope you enjoy.

Thank you for the great support of our product. Make sure that you wash them as it will help extend the life of the product. Wash with mild detergent, no bleach, and let air-dry. Put on to form original shape once dry.

My longstanding Mother's Day gift is a flat of flowers from the nursery and a useful tool to do the job of planting. I've found this to be one gift that's really appreciated, especially if you do the planting too!

@Katherine, maybe it's just my browser (Safari), but the sizing chart for men only goes up to Med/Large yet the gloves to up to XL and XXL. Do you have the measurement for those sizes? Thanks.

@DJP - Thank you for bringing that to my attention! The size chart should be appearing properly now. If you can't see all the sizes please refresh the page.
