Lime Tree Cove

Unleash your Inner Bartender

Ever found yourself halfway through a margarita and wishing for more salt on the rim? Tim McCaffery’s wife used to, so he invented an easy way to salt the rim that doesn’t require turning a glass upside down on a plateful of salt.

Tim’s handheld Barmaid device glides around the rim of a cocktail glass and dispenses any spice you
like. There’s a button that lets you control how much goes on the rim, so you can make salted margaritas and sugared mojitos just the way your guests like them.

But the party fun doesn’t stop there. Tim’s company, called Lime Tree Cove, also makes its own cocktail sugars and spices. Just think what some spicy chili cocktail salt will do for your Bloody Marys. Or, you can add zest to a martini or lemonade (the spices are for nonalcoholic drinks, too) with his fresh lemon cocktail sugar. And a coat of chocolate raspberry sugar on your pina colada? Sweet decadence. Lime Tree Cove’s spices are all natural, with no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. Cheers!

…and there is no better way to celebrate than with fun summer cocktails. We are very excited to be featured by The Daily Grommet and to share The Barmaid and Lime Tree Cove Cocktail Spices with all of you. I created The Barmaid after my wife kept asking me to re-salt her margarita. I spent years perfecting the device to work with any type of glassware. The Barmaid is simply the best way to rim any cocktail.

We went one step further and created the Lime Tree Cove Cocktail Spices to make cocktail preparation a snap. With the spices, you can make great cocktails. At Lime Tree Cove, we feel that anyone can become a cocktail hero. I would be happy to answer any questions you have.

The Barmaid is fun to use, especially at a gathering of friends where everyone can try it out on their own drink. My favorite flavor rimmer is Lime Tree Cove Chocolate Raspberry.

Hello all. "Anonymous" brings up a great point and creates an excellent opportunity to highlight that the glass interface - the part that touches the glass - pops off of the device for easy cleaning.

If used on clean glassware sanitation is not an issue and The Barmaid is more sanitary than the dish, which accumulates bacteria.

Our Barmaid has been the hit of the party several times since receiving it as a gift just before the New Year!! We rented a ski house for the spring here in Vermont and our Barmaid was the most used appliance there!!!!!!!!!!

Doug that sounds like an excellent combination - a tangy lime Rum and Coke! One of the best parts about the product line is that it allows users to "Unleash their inner bartender" and create their own cocktail combinations. It is 5:00 somewhere!

I am a huge fan of Daily Grommet and was excited to see that they featured The Barmaid! I bought a Barmaid earlier this year and don’t know how I ever lived without it. It has been a huge hit when I have friends over and so much easier and more convenient to use. I just store it already filled with margarita salt and then grab it whenever I want to make a margarita…or two. Great story and great product!

I've given Barmaid Drink Rimmer gift basket as a wedding gift for one couple and a bridal shower gift to another - both times it was a huge hit! So much more original than towels or silverware, and a lot more fun!

My wife and I purchased the barmaid after marveling at the consistency of the salt application to margaritas served at a cocktail party in our building. Haven't been able to use with sugars, but we busted it out for margaritas several times this memorial day weekend to rave reviews!

I will admit, my husband and I always take our favorite cocktail fixings when we travel. Whether it be camping for the weekend or a nice hotel getaway- we like to bring our favorite sips along. This product makes it SO much easier to prepare your favorite drinks without worrying about the mess and hassle of it. Thank you for making it easier to prepare our favorite cocktails on the go!

Some of my favorites... Well one for summer is a hard lemonade cocktail with sweet mint sugar on the rim. This is simple to prepare and can be made with or without alcohol. Just get lemonade, add vodka and ice and rim with Sweet Mint Cocktail Sugar.

Another favorite for the summer season is the mojito. This cocktail can be made in many different ways. Mojitos with a smooth rum like Bacardi and fresh fruit and mint are delectable.

This past weekend, I made blackberry mojitos. Sounds complicated but it is simple to do. Just muddle blackberries (or raspberries) with the mint, add sugar, club soda, rum and ice. For the rim, you can use either Sweet Mint Sugar or Fresh Lemon Sugar.

Another one of my favorite cocktail variations is the Pisco Sour. This drink is similar to a Whiskey Sour. I had this cocktail in Chile while on a ski trip there. The drink does have egg whites to create a foam at the top. For those who prefer, this ingredient can be omitted.

To make add lemon or lime juice, bitters, and simple syrup to ice. Then add Pisco, which is a Chilean "brandy" best described as somewhat similar to tequila.

Rim this beverage with either the Tangy Lime Cocktail Salt, Fresh Lemon Cocktail Sugar, or Spicy Chili Cocktail Salt. Add egg white for foam (or not).

Like the mojito there are many variations of the Pisco Sour. Experiment to find your favorite.

While in Key West last November performing some rum and cocktail events, I ran across the Lime Tree Cove gang selling the Barmaid and the Cocktail Spices. I was so impressed, I used their products at my bar during the Rum Renaissance Festival in Miami - and no, they did not pay me for this. The spices are all natural and I really like their selection. I used their sugars on a variety of premium rum tastings and 'wowed' the attendees - and there were over a thousand attendees! Great product line for the home bar and home mixologist, with so much less mess than traditional rimmers.
