A Maker is an inventor, designer and tinkerer. They are the people and companies who spawn new ideas that inspire and stir the imagination of consumers. In this role you will have direct contact with these Makers on a daily basis, allowing for a much deeper dive into an ever-growing array of businesses, as well as exposure to unique challenges. Each Associate is thoroughly trained to handle responsibilities and be prepared to contribute on cross-functional projects across the organization.

Key Activities:

  • Prepare Makers and Products for launch onsite
  • -- Capturing pertinent information and details from Makers
  • -- Setting up all necessary Maker information in The Grommet’s systems
  • -- Guide Makers through The Grommet’s systems and processes
  • Manage Order Performance
  • -- Take proactive measures to ensure timely order delivery to our customers
  • -- Investigate the root problems that cause Maker delivery issues
  • Inventory Planning
  • -- Forecast product needs with Discovery team for new launches
  • -- Maintain catalog of existing Grommets
  • Sales Performance
  • -- Monitor monthly and quarterly sales/order performance benchmarks for makers with Manager
  • Work with Discovery team to optimize on site product offering

The Community Support Team leader is a natural “people person” possessing an upbeat and “can-do” attitude. He/she is responsible for providing quality customer service to our community through the daily management of a team of support agents, which includes training, motivating, and mentoring. He/she will also roll up their sleeves up and respond to a variety of customer requests ranging from order placement, product and policy questions, and escalations, etc. Additionally, the team lead is involved in the hiring process and will assist in defining support policies.

Key Activities:

  • - Assists the manager with daily operations to include the development and implementation of staffing, training, and scheduling
  • - Provides daily direction and communication to support agents so that customer service inquiries are answered in a timely, efficient, and knowledgeable manner
  • - Provides continual evaluation of processes and procedures. Responsible for suggesting methods to improve and streamline operations
  • - Uses appropriate judgment in handling escalated customer issues, ensuring that the resolution is in line with company’s strategic goals
  • - Shares continual responsibility in keeping the team on track to reach its daily/monthly/annual goals
  • - Works as a leader of special or ongoing projects

  • - 1-2 years experience of being a team leader within a customer support organization, preferably in an e-commerce setting

This person will work closely with the Digital Marketing Analyst and Director of Acquisition to achieve ROAS and CAC goals.

The Senior Digital Marketing Analyst will support a wide range of Marketing activities including, to varying degrees: SEO, Facebook ad campaigns, Pinterest ad campaigns, search ad campaigns, product feed ads, and other digital acquisition programs.

This position will report to our Director of Acquisition.

Key Activities:

- Build Subscriber and Customer Acquisition Campaigns through various channels including, but not limited to, Facebook, Pinterest, and Paid Search
- Manage Acquisition Campaigns, identify efficiency and scaling opportunities, and implement changes
- Report on Campaign performance regularly
- Stay abreast of and advise on industry best practices.

Desired Skills & Experience:

- Highly analytical and comfortable making data-driven decisions
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Math, Business or other relevant degree
- A quick learner who can easily adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- A master multitasker, capable of juggling multiple responsibilities
- Familiar with online marketing and advertising best practices
- 2-4 years digital marketing experience, preferably in an e-commerce environment but not required
- Exposure to coding languages preferred but not required.

The Grommet is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our Technology team. This role will manage the overall health and continuity of our connected infrastructure environments and strive to ensure maximum uptime and availability, both on our website, as well as our internal network. The Systems Administrator must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and work with a sense of urgency when the need arises. He/she must have a proven track record of handling a wide range of technical support issues from end-user computer setup to complete server rebuilds.

Key Activities:

  • - Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, VOIP phones, security updates and patches
  • - Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures and necessary documentation
  • - Contribute to and maintain system standards
  • - Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale
  • - Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary

The Website Production Assistant will publish content such as images, copy, audio-visual assets, metadata, tags, descriptions, and attributes to provide accurate and rich product information on our two platforms: The Grommet and The Grommet Wholesale.

Key Activities:

  • Publish product pages to our rapidly growing catalog
  • Build product SKUs
  • Maintain back-end website configurations
  • Troubleshoot website errors
  • Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with CMS tools (we use Magento)
  • An eye for details—you pride yourself on the quality of your work and don’t send anything out without triple-checking
  • Proficient with Excel and Google Apps
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects and deadlines
  • Familiarity with website publishing, basic HTML, or Photoshop a plus
  • Expectations:

  • Your own laptop, all necessary software will be provided
  • 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Availability for at least a 6 month period
