The Grommet is looking for a detail-oriented Analyst to join our Website Operations (SiteOps) Department. This is an ideal role for someone who has experience with quality assurance testing, website analytics, and loves organizing information. As part of the Technology Team, you will be integrated as a QA tester in our engineering workflow. If you are a natural collaborator who enjoys the challenges of influencing and innovating to get the highest quality results, we would love to talk to you.

This position will report to our Website Operations Manager.

Key Activities:

  • - Define, document, and implement test cases, test plans, and testing processes on a per-project basis
  • - Identify, report, and appropriately escalate bugs or technical problems
  • - Work with the development team to establish and document release quality standards
  • - Handle multiple projects at once and maintain a steadily-flowing test queue
  • - Analyze information contained in the database and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems
  • - Maintain and update a running list of supported devices and Operating systems, as well as known inconsistencies that may present as bugs on each

Desired Skills:

  • - Familiarity with CMS tools (we use Magento) and e-commerce best practices
  • - Experience using JIRA or similar ticketing system
  • - Exercise sound judgment in triaging tasks
  • - An eye for details—you pride yourself on the quality of your work and don’t send anything out without triple-checking
  • - The ability to consistently operate within site standards, while providing fresh ideas for improvements
  • - Proficient with Excel, SQL, and Google Analytics, preferred

Education and Experience:

  • - Bachelor’s degree required
  • - 2-3 years of professional experience preferred
  • - Basic coding experience (in any language)
  • - Entrepreneurial spirit, with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

The Grommet is looking for a friendly, energetic, and tech savvy customer service specialist to work in our office just outside Davis Square in Somerville. This person will field phone calls and respond to customer inquiries via our online ticketing system. Typical inquiries include placing phone orders, checking order status, answering product questions, and more.

Requirements:

- Previous Customer Support experience, preferably in a retail or e-commerce setting

- Excellent and friendly written and verbal communication skills

- Knowledge of Zendesk or another ticketing system is a plus

- This is a 40 hour a week job, 5 days total, but candidate must be willing to work Saturday and/or Sunday

The Grommet is seeking an analytically minded self-starter to join our Marketing Team as a Digital Marketing Associate. This role will grow The Grommet’s Customer and Subscriber base through day-to-day execution and optimization of Acquisition Campaigns. This person will work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and Director of Acquisition to achieve ROAS and CAC goals.

The Digital Marketing Associate will support a wide range of Marketing activities including to varying degrees SEO, Facebook ad Campaigns, Pinterest ad Campaigns, Search ad Campaigns, Product Feed ads, and other Digital Acquisition Programs.


This position will report to our Director of Acquisition.

Key Activities:

  • - Stay abreast of and advise on Organic Search best practices. Optimize each new page created for Organic Search and report on Organic Search performance
  • - Build Subscriber anxsd Customer Acquisition Campaigns through various channels including, but not limited to, Facebook, Pinterest, and Paid Search
  • - Manage Acquisition Campaigns, identify efficiency and scaling opportunities, and implement changes
  • - Report on Campaign performance regularly

  • - Highly analytical and comfortable making data-driven decisions
  • - Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing or relevant job experience

The Grommet is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our Technology team. This role will manage the overall health and continuity of our connected infrastructure environments and strive to ensure maximum uptime and availability, both on our website, as well as our internal network. The Systems Administrator must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and work with a sense of urgency when the need arises. He/she must have a proven track record of handling a wide range of technical support issues from end-user computer setup to complete server rebuilds.

Key Activities:

  • - Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, VOIP phones, security updates and patches
  • - Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures and necessary documentation
  • - Contribute to and maintain system standards
  • - Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale
  • - Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary
  • - Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required
  • - Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required

  • - 3+ years of system administration experience
  • - BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
