The Grommet is looking for a detail-oriented Analyst to join our Website Operations (SiteOps) Department. This is an ideal role for someone who has experience with quality assurance testing, website analytics, and loves organizing information. As part of the Technology Team, you will be integrated as a QA tester in our engineering workflow. If you are a natural collaborator who enjoys the challenges of influencing and innovating to get the highest quality results, we would love to talk to you.

This position will report to our Website Operations Manager.

Key Activities:

  • - Define, document, and implement test cases, test plans, and testing processes on a per-project basis
  • - Identify, report, and appropriately escalate bugs or technical problems
  • - Work with the development team to establish and document release quality standards
  • - Handle multiple projects at once and maintain a steadily-flowing test queue
  • - Analyze information contained in the database and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems
  • - Maintain and update a running list of supported devices and Operating systems, as well as known inconsistencies that may present as bugs on each

Desired Skills:

  • - Familiarity with CMS tools (we use Magento) and e-commerce best practices
  • - Experience using JIRA or similar ticketing system
  • - Exercise sound judgment in triaging tasks
  • - An eye for details—you pride yourself on the quality of your work and don’t send anything out without triple-checking
  • - The ability to consistently operate within site standards, while providing fresh ideas for improvements
  • - Proficient with Excel, SQL, and Google Analytics, preferred

Education and Experience:

  • - Bachelor’s degree required
  • - 2-3 years of professional experience preferred
  • - Basic coding experience (in any language)

This person will field phone calls and respond to customer inquiries via our online ticketing system. Typical inquiries include placing phone orders, checking order status, answering product questions, and more.

Requirements:

- Previous Customer Support experience, preferably in a retail or e-commerce setting

- Excellent, and friendly, written and verbal communication skills

- Knowledge of Zendesk or another ticketing system is a plus

- Our support center is open 7 days a week, from 9am to 5pm. This is a 40 hour per week role, but the candidate must be available to work weekends

Key Activities:

  • - Conduct A/B testing on daily emails to make tangible improvements on open rate, CTOR, CTR, and conversion rate

The Grommet is a launch platform for early-stage consumer products. We are reshaping how products become successful and how people discover, share, influence, and buy products online. We are looking for merchandising talent to optimize our email programming and Marketing campaigns by surfacing relevant, engaging merchandise that supports the overall strategy of The Grommet.

The E-commerce Merchandising Associate drives revenue through smart, effective selections for our email and other programming vehicles. The selections must be well coordinated to not only present visually compelling and relevant merchandise but also to maintain an effective planning process that assures operations and inventory planning is ready to execute against orders. This role works closely with the Maker Operations, Marketing and Discovery teams to deliver well-coordinated daily, monthly, and seasonal campaigns. The position reports to the Senior Merchandising Manager and offers excellent training and potential for advancement.

Key Activities:

  • - Manage the selection of programming for daily email, product collections, and thematic Marketing campaigns.
  • - Assure proper rotation of products by maintaining records of Grommet promotions
  • - Optimize the catalog performance including site and catalog navigation, cross merchandising, and promotional campaigns.
  • - Work in our back-end system to build collections and make updates as needed
  • - Continuously create and test merchandising strategies to increase average order value
  • - Strategically manage and grow the online catalog by working closely with existing Makers and the Operations team to target high potential product additions
  • - Maintain an overall assortment that reflects fresh merchandise and effective content as Grommets age in the catalog, supporting Maker updates with programming efforts and content updates
  • - Analyze historical data to develop and support merchandising decisions that also align with company-wide initiatives
  • - Creatively re-purpose Grommets and assets for our gifting and featured collections on a regular schedule and plan seasonal or thematic content that promotes strong products on high-traffic areas of our site
  • - Analyze site metrics to optimize pages where we are experiencing traffic

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • - Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of merchandising experience, with particular emphasis on visual merchandising for ecommerce
  • - Knowledge in visual merchandising principles, techniques and visual aesthetics
  • - Strong working knowledge of Excel, Magento (a plus), and Google Analytics
  • - Demonstrate ownership for your projects and ability to influence cross-functional initiatives

  • - Well versed in product catalog to make product recommendations, assist with Retailer education, as well as up selling and cross selling

  • - Prospect new business
  • - Follow-up on and manage leads by phone and email
  • - Track retailer progression to close in Salesforce.com
  • - Troubleshoot and resolve any order issues by working directly with Grommet Makers to ensure Retailer satisfaction

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • - Bachelors degree in a business related field
  • - High attention to detail and strong organizational and planning skills
  • - Exceptional time and project management skills
  • - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with comfort communicating and presenting in person, via phone, or email
  • - Self motivated and independent
  • - B2B sales experience or experience selling to retailers is a plus
  • - Comfort with regular travel and working weekends, depending on the time of year, travel may account for 10-15% of the role and may include lifting and assembling pieces of a trade show booth
