Asobu

Brew & Go

Asobu’s cold brew coffee maker is a one-stop brew-and-go solution. It combines a brewer and an insulated serving and storage carafe into one streamlined—and portable—system. Coffee grounds and cold water pass through a stainless steel mesh filter inside the brewer, which is made from Tritan, a BPA-free plastic that won’t hold onto stale flavors like typical plastic can. When you’re ready for coffee (and your batch has brewed for at least 12 hours) just push the flow control button. This pours freshly cold-brewed coffee into the connected double-walled and copper insulated container. It will keep all 24 ounces of coffee cold for up to 24 hours, even after you pop it off to take your drink to-go.

Quick Questions

How do I brew coffee with the Asobu?

You’ll need 6 tablespoons of coarse coffee grounds and 3 cups of cold filtered water for brewing. Open the lid of the clear brewer leaving the mesh filter inside. Put 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds in the filter and slowly pour 1 cup of water over the grounds in a circular motion, wetting all the grounds. Repeat this process twice with the remaining coffee grounds. Close the lid of the brewer tightly. Close the air hole with the sliding tab in the lid. Steep coffee for 12-24 hours at room temperature. When brewing is complete, open the tab on the lid and push the release button to transfer coffee into the attached carafe. Unscrew carafe and add ice cubes to cool.

How much coffee does it make?

One brew will make 24 oz. of cold brew coffee.

What grind would be best used for brewing with this?

The best grind is coarse, like what one might use for a french press. This will facilitate filtration and allow it to steep overnight.
