BaKblade

Back and Body Shaver

Smooth Shaving

This back shaver lets you tackle those difficult-to-reach, hairy areas without any help.

BaKblade is back-scratcher-like in its design, helping you reach every corner of your body. Unlike conventional face razors, this one adapts to your body. Its contour adjusts to yours, so there’s lighter, gentler contact between your skin
and the blade. You could even shave without water and still get a smooth finish.

Manscaping is just a matter of some painless swipes. There’s no prep work, and no submitting your body to the discomfort of waxing or to chemical hair removers.

You’ve got the control and this shaver has got your back.

    Hi Matt. Do you think it would be good also for a woman's . . . private parts?! Sorry, I can't think of a more "proper" way to ask.

    Thanks!

    @Tamara

    Honesty is always the best policy right? lol. It funny you ask because women have been buying the baKblade for some time now for their legs. While our dryGlide blades are perfect for managing your back and body hair other "parts" are definitely applicable as well. Removing the blade cartridges from the housing unit (which holds our blades) is the best way to manage those smaller areas. Just remember though that just as a man wouldn't start shaving his full grown bear with a razor, it's the same with our blades. Meaning, in some cases "trimming" may be required with an electric device prior to using our blades to maintain those other areas. I hope this helps!

    Hello, Matt--I'm wondering if it could be used on a woman's legs. I'm mildly handicapped, and bending to shave is painful!

    (You may have a much wider market than you thought!)

    @Linda

    Great question Linda! Without going to in depth we are, in the future, planning on launching a women's version. In the meantime using the baKblade for your legs is perfect fit. In fact, my wife's cousin was injured in a swimming accident and is paralyzed from the waist down. She's a bright girl and is actually a med student who brought to my attention that she thought of using the baKblade for herself. She's now been using the baKblade for 4 years now and is a great example.

    Hello Jim! The replacement blades will certainly be available as an ongoing basis. We will also be selling different quantity order packs in the future.

    @Rich

    Great question! Obviously with all razors even safety razors there is always a chance that you may receive a nick from time to time. However, the reason why our safety blades are unique is that they add an extra level of protection in that our razor blade is inside of both guards. Also, when you apply to your back you do not need to press very hard either. Just let the blades do the work for you. Our blade cartridges feel quite similar to that of a back scratcher!

    Lifetime of each blade cartridge is 10 to 12 shaves - That seems a bit short to me. And on the refills, the qty is 4, but does the baKblade use 1, or 2 cartridges at time?

    @Denise

    The lifetime of each blade cartridge being 10 - 12 shaves is actually pretty typical for shaving with a safety razor. In fact, most big brand razors on the market recommend 6 to 7 shaves per blade. Also, you need to remember that you don't need to shave your back and body as much as you shave your face. Only 2, maybe 3 times per week. The beauty behind our blades is that it's up to the customer to choose how many blades they wish to use in the housing unit. The housing unit will hold 2 blade cartridges but you can take one out and only use one blade cartridge on your back and body if you prefer. Our first generation (baKblade 1.0) is only a 1 blade cartridge shaver. We just decided to "take things up a notch" and offer our customers an advanced shaver with our 2.0 line.

    The BaKblade 2.0 is already producing and distributing. If you order through The Grommet they will be able to give you the best idea of delivery date since they are currently holding inventory for the BB2.0.

    Would improve performance if done while in the shower? IS it a shaver or hair removal?

    @Francisco

    The BaKblade 2.0 is a do-it-yourself back & body shaver which comes with our safety blade cartridge. There is no hair removal chemicals involved. Also, a user may use in or outside of the shower. It's truly an option to be made by the individual.
