    @Jocelyn Hi Jocelyn, Linda here... I tested BKZW and it is solid to over 147 degrees F... I put BKZW in glove boxes, car trunks, sealed boat helms...with the temps outside at over 90F... Not a problem at all!

    Bee's Knees Zipper Wax has gone through extensive testing! And here is a cool factoid!

    A few years ago a Viking Ship was brought to the surface, around the main mast was a securring line that was INTACT... when the coating was tested... it was bee's wax!

    @Linda

    For centuries this formulation has been used by craftsmen, sailors, tailors, butlers and houskeepers BKZW truly belongs in every home, office, boat, camper, workshop, tool box, sewing kit, junk-drawer...whew... the uses are almost endless!

    "Beeswax consists of at least 284 different chemical compounds, mainly a variety of long-chain alkanes, acids, esters, polyesters and hydroxy esters."

    Calling it "chemical free" is, at the very least, untrue.

    Hi Robert, thanks for the comment. Bee's Knees is chemical free in that no artificial chemicals were added to the product. The list you provided is the chemical components that make up beeswax so those are all-natural ingredients.

    @KL Hi KL... Linda Here... Once you clean the tools BKZW once applied offers a protective water resistent barrier... and even if the tools are rusted shut BKZW can get them moving once again with just a bit of elblow grease!

    BKZW also works as a great lubricant for saw blades ... less burring and smooth operation of the tool... gliding right along!

    Hi Holly, I’ve compiled some here and as Linda has said the uses are essentially endless, but here we go.

    Stuck zippers, stuck windows, sewing thick canvases, repairs on canvas sails, rusty saw blades and drill bits, nails for easier hammering, skis, sleds, and snowboards. I’m sure I’m missing countless others, but there is a start!

    When anyone can purchase canning wax at the grocery store, isn't this kind of like selling ice cubes to Eskimos?

    Hi Tommy, one of the things that sets beeswax and in this case, Bee's Knees, apart is the all-natural ingredients. As with the uses, I'm sure the benefits don't end at one. I'll let Linda provide more details.

    @Mike and Tommy...

    BKZW in 100% pure and filter Bee's Wax... canning wax is a parafin base and unfortunately not chemical free and all natural. This product was originally developed for Sailing/Boating.. Canvas and Isinglass zippers and snaps get stuck because of brine build up... artificial chemical based products will degrade surfaces..

    BKZW will not harm the surface of leather, wood, metal, vinyl, cloth, plastics.. almost everything it touches it makes better!

    There is a complete list of applications and stories about "How To Use The Bee" on the BKZW Website and Facebook page!

    I hope this helped!
