Safety Lights for Cyclists

When it comes to cycling safety, Robert Dickman is all about light. The company he founded, Bicygnals, makes light-up gear and flashing indicators so cars are more likely to see cyclists, and bike riders can feel more confident they’re visible to drivers, especially in traffic and at night.

Bicygnals’ gear starts at the top: on our heads. True to its name, the Angel helmet creates a halo of light around the wearer’s head. It has a 360-degree band of light that’s intentionally positioned at a car driver’s eye level.
The helmet is adjustable, it has flashing and non-flashing modes, and it’s powered by a retractable USB charger (no batteries required).

For your bike, Bicygnals makes front- and rear-mounted indicator lights that act as turn signals so cars know where you’re going. Particularly at night, when arm signals are harder to see, the indicators help get the message to drivers that you’re changing direction. The lights are battery operated, and the front and rear signals communicate with each other wirelessly so they stay in synch.

Bicycling is great exercise, easy on the environment, and helps reduce urban congestion. But many riders feel vulnerable riding in traffic, especially at night. Bicygnals’ light-up helmet and indicator lights aren’t a cure-all, but they increase cyclists’ visibility and make it easier for riders to signal their turns to drivers. It’s extra defense, which benefits everyone who’s sharing the road.

I would buy these in a heart beat if they were made in the US. No way buying something made in China!

    @ Jan

    Hi Jan,

I know it can be frustrating for many of our consumers to love a product and then be disappointed by where it's manufactured. I'm sure you know that we choose our Grommets not based on where they are made alone (although it's always fantastic to find out they are able to be manufactured here in the U.S.) but what problems they solve, what stories they tell and what kind of impact they will have.

Some of our Grommets that achieve these points are also made abroad in places like China which might make you hesitant to support it. Yet we are able to look beyond that because they are so worthy for other reasons. This Grommet helps to solve a large problem of bike safety, especially at night. It's innovative and promotes people to ride their bikes instead of drive vehicles. We see this as Grommet worthy.

We hope that you are able to see past that as well, even if you don't purchase.

Thanks for looking around our site and providing your feedback.

For the price...and I believe that safety has no price...these things could be made in the USA.. Please! It is the only reason I won't purchase them.
