The team that makes up Bison spent years distributing products to the high-end barbeque market when we realized there was something missing: a way to start fires easily, efficiently, and quickly while still being safe for you and your food. We developed the Airlighter from the ground up, and we're proud to say that the Airlighter represents the fastest cold-to-cooking time of any available consumer product. Ask us anything!

Curious if the unit takes batteries, plugs into the wall or by some ingenious method you have found a way to fan flames with power???

    Hi Jeff,

The fire starter comes with a USB cord to charge it. With a full tank of fuel and a full battery, you can expect about 25-40 fire lightings before you need to recharge. Hope this helps!

    This is another Jeff LOL

So you charge it by plugging it into your computer? What kind of fuel does it take and how much is needed for a full tank?

    Hi Jeff,

It's StJohn here, inventor of the Airlighter.

Yes, you can charge it from any USB port. Your computer, wall adapter for your phone, car (if you have a USB adapter), etc.

The Airlighter Fuel is butane. Bison's Airlighter Fuel comes in cans of 1.5 fl oz. This enough to refill the Airlighter about 4 times. Each refill gives a 15 minute burn time. You only need 10-20 seconds to light charcoal so you can get 30-40 lightings per refill or about 100 per can of Airlighter Fuel.

    Hope this helps.
