This past Monday marked a massive milestone for our team at The Grommet. As you know, from one of our latest posts, we bid farewell to our small offices in Lexington, MA and moved to a bigger, better space in Cambridge, MA! We all walked in on Monday afternoon (some last minute painting was still being done) and everyone had smiles from ear to ear. Music was playing, people were giving each other high-five's and running from room to room - seeing everything our new office had to offer. As some have said well "Our office has finally caught up with our brand." We have many pieces in our new space that lend themselves well to the "maker movement" The office has an industrial feel with old signage, wooden structures and exposed brick. It's really a beautiful testament to our company.
I spent a few minutes walking through and taking photos, trying to document everyone's excitement. It was especially sentimental to see those who have been with The Grommet since the beginning. It wasn't just the new and exciting office that made them emotional, but what it represents for our small company. We truly have come so far since our days as an unknown startup in the suburbs. As I passed by our co-founder and Chief Discovery Officer, Joanne Domeniconi, I saw tears in her eyes. (I chose not to take a photo)
To watch our company grow, thrive and work toward the mission we truly believe in is something amazing to watch and experience.
