See You There? The Greatest Show and Tell on Earth

After nearly six years of building and getting to know our community from behind the screen, we are breaking free and coming to meet you. In person. The Grommet Team cannot wait to bring our mission, our sense of style, and, of course, our Grommets to the World Maker Faire at the New York Hall of Science on September 20th-21st.

The Grommet hits the Maker Faire in NY

The “Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth” embodies the pulse of the Maker Movement as hundreds of Makers and tens of thousands of attendees take part in this “family-friendly festival of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness.” We are jazzed to help tap the rhythm of this pivotal social and economic movement.

We are also delighted to continue to explore this concept of physical space and connection. The Grommet has historically prioritized a multi-channel approach to online launch in order to give Makers as expansive a network as possible in those vital, early days of their products life cycles. We are excited to now find ourselves at a juncture where we can explore the depth and richness that a physical presence provides when connecting with our communities. Our Wholesale Platform enables small brick and mortar Retailers to give Grommets physical shelf space, and at NY NOW, our trade show debut, we felt the importance of that connection. Getting to know you (our core community of shoppers, commentators, reviewers, pinners, tweeters, likers, and even constructive critics) in person, at an event like Maker Faire is a dream come true for this internet company.

If you're a Maker stop by our booth and pitch us your product in person. Our Discovery Team will be looking for the best products to launch on  The Grommet.

Saturday, September 20th 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Sunday, September 21st 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

The Grommet is located in the Maker Pavilion at Booth MP42

If you're not able to attend in person, be sure to follow along with us on Instagram. We'll be sharing photos from the faire.

    Hi Lauren,
I'd love to share the blankZ with you. After all, they are the most creative plush toys ever because YOU do the designs. If we can't make the show can we please send you some samples to review?
Thanks so much for your consideration.
    Glenn
