I fixed the key!

6/23/2018 by Tonie

Recently my husband decided to trade me his car key for mine. His had broken off at the ring attachment and since I rarely drive that car I could have the broken one. That was fine but it made it hard to find the key without a ring when I needed it.
So I purchased the Bondic. Then I drilled a tiny hole in each side of the plastic key handle, inserted a sturdy piece of wire and started filling and bonding. Now my key goes in a key ring too.
The next week I broke my add on sewing table right where it attaches to my sewing machine. These darn things cost around $175. Dang it. I was on my way to a class and needed it right then. I quickly used the Bondic to attach the 2 pieces together, then made small cross “stitches “ along the entire seam. Finally added a strip to smooth the joint and in 10 minutes I was on the road with my repaired sewing surface.
Now I keep looking for more ways to use this stuff. It’s amazing and it’s fun to use it to fix things that are otherwise ruined.

Awesome product!

The Bondit welder works wonders! I broke the plastic nose bridge on an expensive pair of sunglasses and was afraid I'd have to replace them. Instead, I used the Bondic to fix the bridge and voila! The glasses are as good as new! I've been wearing them for weeks with no issues. And no one can even tell they've been repaired. I thought there might be a big bump where the liquid was, but there isn't. I am thrilled with this product, and I can hardly wait to find new stuff to fix! Thanks Grommet!!More > < Less

Bondic - Liquid Plastic Welder

About Bondic

Speed of Light

We usually don’t notice how many household items are tough to fix . . . until one breaks. A broken part, even if it’s small, can render an entire device unusable. That makes too much of what we own, essentially, disposable.

But now you can repair that clip or bracket—and almost anything else—with Bondic, a liquid plastic welder.

Bondic isn’t a glue; it’s much better. First, Bondic dries by using the attached UV light, which hardens the substance in seconds. But even better, it won’t dry UNTIL you use the light. So you can figure out exactly how you want to repair a crack or bolster a weak area and only apply the light when you’re ready. No need to apply pressure, either.

If Bondic reminds you of the adhesives dentists use, it’s not a coincidence. In fact, one of Bondic’s founders is a DDS, and he realized that the fast-drying substance had many more uses beyond tooth repair. Rebuild entire missing areas by layering Bondic. Or fill in a molded area. This wonder substance can even be sanded and painted after it hardens.

Fix toys, eyeglasses, jewelry and more. Bondic works on wood, metal, and even fabric. Use it for craft projects or to enhance existing products, like adding a GoPro mount to a bicycle helmet.

Add this liquid bonder to your toolbox, and your handiness will know no bounds.
