Bump It Off

Silicone Cleaning Sleeve

Silicone Sleeve

A silicone scrubber makes a lot sense—it’s a non-toxic, antibacterial, and reusable way to clean anything from dishes to fruits to you.

With silicone bristles on one side and bumps on the other, Bump It Off’s sleeve design works like an extension of your hand. Clean fruit, scrub dishes, groom pets, de-lint sweaters, exfoliate in
the shower, or use it in conjunction with detergent to lift a stain off your favorite shirt.

When you’re done, stick it in the dishwasher or give it a warm-water rinse. It won’t scratch your dishes, grow mildew, or absorb odors like the average sponge.

What a fabulous idea! I was just thinking I would like to buy a de-shedding tool like this for one of the pups who is really afraid of the Furminator for some reason! And I have always thought traditional sponges were really yucky to use on your dishes. Plus the price seems very reasonable for something you can keep forever. I am going to buy a set of these today!

@Karyn Hi Karyn, Not only will your pups not be afraid of BUMP IT OFF, if they’re anything like my furry friends, they’ll come running to you when they see BUMP IT OFF in your hand… "Time for Puppy Spa Day”?

@charity Hi Charity, BUMP IT OFF is 100% silicone and will not scratch delicate hard surfaces or soft surfaces for that matter. I have two BUMP IT OFFs in my kitchen, one for cleaning pots, pans, dishes and kitchen surfaces and a second one for cleaning fruits and vegetables, including delicate strawberries and mushrooms. Different color BUMP IT OFFs help to keep them easily designated for different uses around the house?

@Michele Hi Michele, BUMP IT OFF can easily be cleaned with warm soapy water or just pop it into the top rack of your dishwasher... they come out looking like new!

Hello, I have a stainless steel grill. Sponges don't really work and I don't like using scrubbers because they scratch the surface. I'm thinking this may be the perfect product. Is this work on stainless steel?

@Oliver Hi Oliver, I also have a new stainless steel grill and it works great on both the bump and brush sides. In addition, BUMP IT OFF is 100% silicone and can resist heat, so no need to let the grill get totally cold before cleaning... when still slightly warm, give it a scrub!

@Teri Hi Teri, BUMP IT OFF is great on non-stick surfaces, as it is 100% silicone. The bumps will loosen large particles and the bristles will brush them away!

This looks really cool Lisa! I have a lot of tile (counters and floors in both kitchen and bath) and my cleaning go-to is brushes, but they get flat and ruined after only a few months. Does the silicone hold up longer than a normal nylon brush?

@Susan Hi Susan, Yes the 100% silicone BUMP IT OFF, bumps and bristles resist flattening and can be easily sanitized in the top rack of your dishwasher, unlike traditional brushed!

I wish you had a couple more options to choose colors. I'd like green and orange. I'm not a fan of blue or purple. Looks like an interesting product and I'd like to give it a try.

Seems very creative. How did you come up with the idea?

    8/3/2017 1:33 PM

@Peter Hi Peter, I was originally trying to get grass stains out of my son's jeans. I was scrubbing with a brush and it was damaging the fabric. I created BUMP IT OFF so that the bumps and bristles work water, laundry soap or spot remover into the space between the fibers and release the stains. BUMP IT OFF will also work on delicate fabrics, without causing fuzzy or shiny spots. Then once I had BUMP IT OFF in my hand, I found that it would clean almost anything around the house!

@Nancy Hi Nancy, Great question... the ones I use everyday are over 2 years old and still look and work as good as new. I run them through the dishwasher at least once a week, sometimes more often!

These look great! I wear those rubber gloves when I do dishes (I like the water really hot). Would I have trouble getting my fingers through the openings? The openings look big enough - I"m wondering about possible friction making it difficult to put on with gloves.

@Mark Hi Mark, That's a good question. I haven't tried them with gloves, but during R&D we did make the finger holes larger to fit a man's hand. As for the glove, give it a try and let me know!

Hi, how long will the bristles last and will some fall off if used in everyday dish washing?

  • Lisa
    Lisa – Special Guest
    8/3/2017 1:58 PM

@Gary Hi Gary, I haven't had any issues using BUMP IT OFF for kitchen duty, but if a bristle got caught in the hole of a strainer or something like that... a little soap and water should release it!
