The Neck Hammock is a cervical traction device created by a physical therapist that helps you gently stretch out the muscles in your neck to provide a dose of relief from aches, kinks, and pain. It’s easy to use and is adjustable to hang at the right height from a doorknob or railing. It packs up for on-the-go use, too, so you can enjoy a relaxing stretch just about anywhere.

  • Materials: Spandex, polyester fabric, medical grade foam
  • Care: Hand wash and hang to dry as needed
  • Instructions: Set up the device according to the guide. The device should be approximately 2-4” off the floor. If you sit at a desk all day long, try putting the pad at the base of your skull. If you look down at your phone a lot, put the pad at the middle of your neck to restore the natural “c-curve” of your neck. Start out with using the device for 10 minutes a day and adjust as needed. Do not use for more than 15 minutes at a time
  • Includes one neck pain relief device, one travel pouch, one eye cover, a "do not open" door sign, guided meditation audio file, and instructions
  • Portable and lightweight design makes it great for travel and at-home use
  • Adjustable design allows you to customize strap length
  • Relieve neck pain in 10 minutes or less
  • Easily attaches to any door or railing
  • Please note: Not intended to replace physical therapy. Do not use for more than 15 minutes at a time. Consult with your doctor to see if cervical traction is right for you. Do not use if you have acute cervical injury, spinal instability, spinal hypermobility, neck tumors, rheumatoid arthritis, or osteomyelitis
  • For ages 16 and up
  • Made in China
  • Dimensions: 3.6" x 8.75" x 6.6"

Perfect and Gentle

This is what I have been looking for. It is a gentle way to assist with alignment. I have the control to just enjoy. No jerky quick-fix movements from a chiropractor and a lot less expensive. I feel my energy pathways flowing.More > < Less

I bought this for my husband who is always troubled by a pinched nerve that effects his arm from the neck down to his fingers. After using this this daily for about 10 minutes per day it has alleviated his pain and discomfort.More > < Less

Sweet Comfort

12/18/2018 by Betsy

I did like the Neck Hammock. For 15 or 20 minutes each time I take time to use it, I feel suspended in space. There is no pressure on any part of my head. I have even fallen asleep in it, so I recommend setting a timer! I feel like a weight has been lifted from my neck that lasts several days. The only down fall is that it has to be hung from a doorknob, which in my house means it can be a bit drafty. I just take a nice warm blanket and snuggle down and let myself drift. I am glad I tried this unconventional way to relieve neck stress.More > < Less

About The Neck Hammock

Stretch Your Neck

Dr. Steve Sudell created The Neck Hammock to complement cervical traction treatment you might get at physical therapy—and Steve knows, because he has a doctorate in physical therapy.

The soft device cradles your head and gently stretches neck muscles. Those of us who work at desks and spend a lot of time typing (and texting) can benefit from opening up this area that often gets compressed, which can lead to aches and pains. But even if you don’t have any neck discomfort, The Neck Hammock is a comfortable way to relax and Zen out for a few minutes.

The device is easy to set up and it hangs from a doorknob or railing. It's adjustable and folds up compactly to take with you on the go, so you can stretch out that post-travel stiffness.

Steve recommends listening to your body when using The Neck Hammock. How high you hang it—and how long you use it—is entirely up to you. Start with a 10 minute session and see how good you can feel.
