Energy Saver!

6/25/2019 by Susan

Of all the appliances, tools and gadgets I have purchased throughout the years (I'll soon be 70), the Root Slayer is without a doubt, THE BEST investment I've ever made. I have an ornamental grass that spreads like a bad weed, although it is beautiful, that desparetly needed to be thinned out and divided. It was such a daunting task that even my strong sons dreaded mom's request for help doing it.

After purchasing the Root Slayer, my 12 year-old grandson, was able to do the task with just a bit of effort. I will be purchasing 2 more to give to my sons, at Christmas.

I was digging up some old shrubs and this shovel made my job easier. It lived up to my expectations and am glad I ordered it.

Wonderfully easy planting!

6/23/2019 by Terry

My yard has many old roots from ground covers that were constantly stopping my planting. I had to get clippers, cut the roots and then dig the dirt out. This shovel is fantastic - now with one easy push, I know I can bring up the old roots and plant my new plants easily. The old roots will eventually rot anyway due to the top of the plants already being dead. I love this shovel!More > < Less

Root Slayer Shovel

I love this shovel. I am elderly and don't have the strength that I use to have, but this shovel does most of the work for you. I looked at it for several weeks while you had pictures of it and finally ordered it and I am so glad I did.More > < Less

Bought one for my husband-he was so satisfied with it that I bought another one for my daughter, whose soil is very tough to dig up.

About Radius Garden

Root Removers

Radius Garden Founder Bruce Baker created the Root Slayer family of root shovels to streamline digging, chopping, and sawing while you’re hard at work in the garden. And because Bruce always has usability and function in mind, his tools are ergonomic, durable, and guaranteed to last a lifetime.

These toughened up garden tools are made from strong but lightweight carbon steel, and all have an inverted-V cutting blade that’s lined with rip-saw teeth—this is where the slaying action comes from. The blade’s design is purposefully more narrow than typical tools to give you better access and leverage around roots. Ergonomic grips boost comfort, and there are even smart add-ons—like a twine cutter and bottle opener—built into the trowel and soil knife. These tools are a smarter way to get the dirty, root-removing job done.
