    Hi All,

Amy from The Grommet team here. We are so excited to support these travel accessories today. It's also making me excited for some upcoming trips this summer.

I'm headed to the beautiful finger lakes in a few weeks.

What summer trips do you have planned? Tell us and our community all about where you're headed and be sure to ask Ricky any questions you might have.

I'm headed to Asheville, NC later this month. Can't wait go go hiking!

I'm not sure how this saves space in my bag since I now have to carry the additional bags as well and I have to pack each individual bag to optimal fullness to maximize density.

@Guest The bags don't really take up any space, plus they're lightweight. What they do is allow you to compress your clothes before putting them into your suitcase. It also makes packing easier as you're packing the bags instead of maneuvering with a suitcase. I've been using mine for over 10 years, would never travel without them! I hope this helps.

@Amy yea for sure! I'm going to Guadalajara, Mexico in a couple of weeks. In August to Telluride, CO for some hiking. And if all goes well, I'm off to Roatan Honduras with the siblings in October! Enjoy the finger Lakes! Cheers!

Guest, you must not have had the good fortune to try Eagle Creek or other bag organizers. I use them constantly, including in my smallest and largest Briggs & Riley Torq cases. Organizers are a lifesaver, and from the looks of them, these could represent an improvement even over my Eagle Creek Specter sets. I am going to order a set plus two of the F1 4-in-1s. We have trips coming up to Maui, Europe, and Maldives. Looking forward to trying these out.

@Greg Cool. Hope you're super happy with them. The outer packaging on all our Spacepak bags are also re-usable and can be used for miscellaneous items! So you kind of get 2 bags. And the F1 adaptor makes it easy to use and hopefully helps so that you don't forget them in wall sockets!

How is this item{s} different from Eagle Creek or Le Sac or similar products. I have both Eagle Creek and Le Sac and pack just fine for a much less price than this product. Plus I use the vacuum [mouth or vacuum cleaner] compression bags. I don't see/understand where the advantage comes in. Please explain how this product is better than other products available.

@Leslie Hi Leslie, for the past 10 years, we've been asked this question before and what customers have said to us, who have also used the mentioned Brands, is that the quality of our bags is much better, but more importantly is that the compression really works best when using our bags over the other brands. Personally, I've never used the vacuum. I like the idea of having a sort of built in compartment that I can work from plus if I ever have to pull it our of my suitcase, it has a durable handle that can easily work as a carry-on bag in inself. I hope this helps. Cheers!

@Caroline for sure! You'll never travel again without them. And as I mentioned in previous email, our outer packaging is reusable and great for all those miscellaneous items. Have a great time in Japan and make sure to visit one of our shops over there as well :) Cheers!

I'm one of those 'over packers' so this is the greatest idea since sliced bread. Thanks!

@Susan HI Susan, and with Spacepak you'll actually think twice about how much to take even though you'll have more space. I like to tell myself only take what I can fit into my Spacepaks and usually I still have things I don't wear! Cheers!

I actually love the dirty / clean side of this. I always stuff plastic bags into my suitcase for my dirty clothes and this will work a lot better.

@Amy A little personal tip, I usually pack both sides of these when going to my destination, as this will help maximize the bags even more. And on my return, I then separate it into clean/ dirty.

Hi, does the cloth pack really weighs 16oz? It seem heavy.

  • Aaron
    5/16/2014 10:20 AM

    Hi Vilma,

    Aaron from The Grommet here.

Good question. The Clothes Pack is the largest of the bags so it utilizes the most material, adding to the weight. At the end of the day, a pound is still pretty light for a bag so it shouldn't add too much additional weight to your suitcase.
