Roll-n-Go Sun Hat

Packable Sun Hat

How do you pack a hat? We’re not sure about the regular kind—but this packable sun hat rolls up without losing its shape.

The SunLily hat’s flexible wooded fibers protect from the sun, but also stretch and fold into a compact roll you can snap to keep it that way. The braided leatherette strap won’t pop open when you slip it into a purse or suitcase.

We like that it looks like a traditional, beachy straw hat, but it functions better. In our past travels, we ended up carrying our sun hats rather than packing them,
afraid of in-luggage crushing. SunLily goes right into your suitcase or bag.

Hats off for this fashionable, functional invention.

Hi! I’m Julie and I’d like to introduce to all the Grommet-devotees the only sun hat you’ll ever need. The Roll-n-Go Sun Hat is perfect for travel and at home. Ask and I’ll tell you why...

Two questions: Does it stretch so one size fits all, and does it have an SPF rating?

@Duncan Hi Duncan! It does have a good amount of give so yes one size will fit most. Although it does not have a specific SPF rating, the fibers are woven very close together so minimal light can come through.

Is there any way to get the maximum head circumference this hat will fit? I have a larger head and thick hair and typically a sun hat off the rack is a tight fit. I love this concept!

@Vickie Hi Vickie! Isn't it great ?!?! I love it too! The circumference of the hat is 23 inches.

    good morning kids!

just two questions: 1. I noticed a crease on the hat in the video, will that "relax", or is it always there from folding it in the same place? 2. the spec's state "86 percent paper". is the hat treated somehow for the occasional soaking out on the boat? thank you.

@christopher Hi Chirstopher! When not traveling, you should store the hat openly, this will become it's more natural state and the crease will fade with wear as well. The hat will still be in good shape after getting wet. Just be sure to let it dry completely open, not rolled up.

My biggest issue with similar hats has been the crease. It appears this also has one. Is there any way to get that out?

@Barbara Hi Barbara! The best thing I've found is to keep the hat open when not transporting it. And of course weariung the hat will help diminish that too.

Hi! I was wondering if these hats have any kind of tie to keep them from flying off in the wind. Thanks

@Julie Hi Jacci! So glad you asked! The braided leatherette strap offers more grip to keep the hat from flying off. It's such a great feature.

Can you return it if it doesn't fit?

I would love to buy this hat, but a "one size fits most" doesn't usually work for me. I have a small head...20" at most! I was recently on a trip to SE Asia and could not find a hat that fit my head! I love the style and foldability of this hat! I guess I will just have to continue my search.

@Ellen Hi Ellen! I understand - perhaps as a gift for a friend, sister. mother? Especially great if you know someone who has made plans recently. It's the most travel-friendly hat you'll ever need :)
