The jigsaw puzzle of the day she was born!

It was given as a gift and the recipient loved it! She is a great jigsaw puzzle fan and thought her young sons would be really intrigued to help her with this one.More > < Less

Really overpriced

I got this for my wife for our anniversary because she likes to do jigsaw puzzles. My first complaint is that even though I ordered this more than two weeks before I needed it, it didn't arrive until after our anniversary, and this was after I contacted The Grommet to see when it might arrive. I've ordered custom jigsaw puzzles from other sources and received them within a week of ordering. That issue aside, $50 is really an outlandish price for this item. When I ordered it I thought the price was high but didn't mind for a unique item. I should have paid more attention to the size (it's not all that big) and the number of pieces (500, which my wife didn't find all that challenging). This puzzle would be better priced at $20 or $25.More > < Less

Not worth the money

The quality of the puzzle is only average, for $50 I would have expected nicer, heavier stock... Plus BOTH puzzles I ordered (from 1927 and 1932) had NO pictures on the front, as your image shows, just all words you can't read very well.More > < Less

Not worth the $50

I bought two of these puzzles for people born in the late 20's and early 30's. I was disappointed to see both had NO photos on them, like the pictures in the examples you showed. Just a big page full of tiny hard-to-read words. Not so interesting for people in their 90's to do. If they weren't custom, I would have sent them back, because I don't think either recipient will want to do them. Perhaps you should allow people to see what the puzzle will look like for their selected date before they buy.More > < Less

About The New York Times

It’s a Date

Bind together a personal, nostalgic history with a custom book of New York Times covers.

Choose a wedding day, birthday, anniversary, or any other special date and they’ll create a bound collection of the news for you.

Commemorate the moment you said, “I do” with the entire newspaper from that day. Or celebrate your anniversary with a compilation of covers—from your first to your fifth or fiftieth. Or gift someone a time traveling birthday ticket so they can journey through a lifetime’s worth of covers.

The New York Times archives date all the way back to 1851—and seeing how society, the paper’s layout, and even the advertisements evolve over decades is fascinating.

Depending on the version you choose and how far back your date is, your book can also include famous front pages throughout history. See the end of the Civil War or the fall of the Berlin Wall.

These Made in the USA memory books are the kind of gift you’ll look and re-look at. Each time you do, there’s something new to learn or reminisce about.
