Doesn't work

12/30/2015 by Carol

I bought a lovely wool sweater on my travels to Talinn which had a wonderful pattern of sheep on it. I made the mistake of washing it in the washing machine under a gentle cycle. I never put it in the dryer but it shrank.
I thought your product would undo my mistake but it didn't have any effect at all. It is still too small and never did regain its original size even with all the stretching and pulling I performed on it while it dried on a towel.

Did not work. My wife tried it on an Irish knit wool sweater and it is still too small for her to wear again

Big mistake!

I have a wool croched baby blanket my grandma made for me 66 years ago. Some how over the years it got thrown in the dryer. It was packed away for many years, I happened across it when I saw this product I thought, perfect! I could get it stretched out and maybe it could be used for special occasions like baptisms. Well, I ordered it all excited waited while it soaked, when it came time to start pulling OMG!! IT MADE BIG HOLES. My husband just shook his head and said I told you it wouldn't work. I am disgusted. The wasted money isn't the biggest problem. It is the loss of the blanket. Bad product!

didn't do the job

I did exactly as instructed and and even left it in the solution for the evening by mistake. I figured it would be a pile of wool fibres by the time I remembered the next morning, but not only wasn't it a pile of fibers, it didn't budge by the time it had dried. Very disappointing.More > < Less

Unshrinkit - Shrunken Sweater Solution

About Unshrinkit

Reversal of misfortune

After inadvertently putting her brand new cashmere sweater in the wash and dryer, Unshrinkit co-founder, Desiree Stolar, did what any resourceful, modern day woman would do—she turned to the Internet for guidance. While she came across plenty of home remedies, nothing worked. That’s when she teamed up with some fellow Harvard Business School graduate students to invent Unshrinkit.

With the help of a chemical engineer, Desiree and company co-founders Nate Barbera and Matt Kahn developed a liquid solution specially devised to interact with shrunken, bunched up wool, cashmere, and angora to elongate, straighten, and restore the fibers back to their original "unshrunk" condition. There was such a great response, that they kept innovating and recently introduced a better-than-ever formula.

Now, when your favorite sweater takes an accidental tumble in the dryer and ends up smaller than you’ll ever be, there’s no need to dismay. Simply dunk that sweater in a bottle of Unshrinkit mixed with water for 30 minutes, rinse, stretch, and lay flat to dry.
