Clean Conscience

Sacha Dunn, the founder of Common Good, a Brooklyn-based soap company, had always diligently recycled her household plastic items, But, in 2010 she realized that even regular efforts were not enough to stem the tide of environmental waste. As a result, she formulated all-natural cleaning products, packaged in minimally-designed, reusable bottles for the home and body. In the beginning, Common Good products were sold in Sacha's Brooklyn neighborhood markets. But by 2012, these eco-friendly products were being refilled at stores around the country. Safe for pets, humans and the environment, the hardworking cleaning agents are completely effective at sanitizing dirt and bacteria too. Every single active ingredient is listed on the labels, so you know exactly what you are using. Beautifully scented, the handwash, dish soap and all purpose cleaner are infused with either a soothing lavender or a sweet bergamot. For the common good, these sudsy solvents leave you, your abode, and your conscience, clean.

    Hi Sacha!

These look great and are much-needed! I'm so impressed that you've made them refillable- what sort of containers do you put the refills in and do you ship them?

@Kate Hi Kate, glad you like the refill concept. We've designed a refill station which has 5 gallon containers with pumps in the top. When the bottle is empty, you take it back to the store and fill it up. We felt that was cutting down the most waste possible. There are over 60 refill stations across the US. You can find them at the locations page on our website or email us at [email protected] and we can direct you. Let me know if you have questions. Thanks!
