Strength Train

David Hunt, the creator of CrossRope, had always incorporated jumping rope into his workouts. But, it was while training as a pilot in the U.S. Navy that he gained an even deeper appreciation for this method of exercise. Portable and efficient, jumping rope is a cardio workout, agility trainer, and lower body toner all in one. CrossRope is a weighted jump rope system complete with interchangeable steel core cables and easy-grip handles of varying weights engineered to deliver total body conditioning. Designed to tone all the muscle groups a normal jump rope does, as well as your biceps, triceps, and shoulders, CrossRope can be adapted depending on your fitness level and can be used anywhere from your home to the gym, and even while traveling. Whatever combination you select, the weight is distributed through both of the handles and cables for comfort and optimal results.

Hi, I'm Dave Hunt, the founder and creator of the Crossrope Jump Rope System.

I have a passion for fitness, and I believe jumping rope is one of the best exercises you can do. My jump rope system is unique. Instead of just one rope weight, you can easily interchange multiple weights. Heavier ropes not only make it easier for beginners to learn, but give you a full-body workout, not just lower body like traditional ropes. Thanks for having us on The Grommet and I hope you'll join me in jumping your way into the best shape of your life!

This looks great. Is there any way to adjust the rope length? I find that to be important for jumping rope.

@Bob Great question! Proper jump rope size is definitely important for effective training. With the interchangeable design (and the fact that these thick cable ropes are too strong to be cut!) we offer a range of custom sizes. If you scroll to the bottom of the product details, you will see our recommended height ranges for each size offered, or if you have a jump rope and know the length you like, you can choose a Crossrope length that most closely matches your preference!

I am thinking of buying the rope. It would be for my 1o year old grandson. Do you find this too young to handle the jump rope

@Johnny Though I thinking jumping rope is a great exercise for kids, these are really fitness oriented ropes that aren't designed for children and we wouldn't recommend it for that age without supervision. That said, if you or your children are looking for an engaging way to stay fit, I highly recommend it!

Hi Dave. Do you think this would be a good way for a 60 something woman who is totally out of shape to gain strength?

    Hi Elizabeth,

I'm going to let Dave chime in here but I've been learning a lot about these ropes and the "swift set" would be perfect for someone starting out. As always, it's recommended to first check with your doctor if you're beginning a fitness routine but it is likely a good option for you as a beginner.
