Natural Wonders

Living near the celebrated U.S. furniture makers of North Carolina has its advantages. For Gillian Stevens, one of the benefits is getting access to their leather scraps, which she transforms into stunning cases for iPads, e-readers, and passports. Gillian has been making her own stationery and leather products ever since she went looking for a birth announcement and couldn’t find what she wanted. Gillian designed her own announcement, her friends loved it, and Dewdrop Designs was born. In her stationery, Gillian has a knack for pairing beautiful, metallic inks with earthy, textured papers. Her letterpress technique is traditional, yet her designs have a minimalist, modern flair. The different elements come together perfectly. For her leather goods, Gillian uses smooth, naturally dyed leather (most of it recycled). Each piece is cut and stitched by hand, then stamped with nature-inspired motifs using Gillian’s unique screen-printing technique. The top-quality leather will protect your devices, and the expressive, organic designs add a dash of personality. You won’t want to hide away these brilliant cases.

Hi Daily Grommet readers. So nice to be joining you as part of this amazing resource. As a mom of four and a business owner, I know it can be difficult to get away and enjoy the beach and mountains as often as you like That is why I try and make my line feel like you have taken the vacation home with you, all while preserving the environment by using as many recycled materials as possible. I am here to answer any questions about inspiration, the process, or any thoughts and ideas you may have. Thanks for the interest.

@Gillian Stevens: Do the passport covers have anything on the inside pockets, additional places for other credit cards, place for dollar bills, etc?
