Your cat food bowl could be to blame for a fussy feline. When cats repeatedly bump their super sensitive whiskers—like against sides of their bowls—they experience whisker fatigue, which is painful and stressful. This sleek bowl was designed to help prevent overstimulated whiskers. Its shallow curve piles food up in the center, so there’s no bumping around. And bump-free whiskers make for a happier cat.

My cat seems to love it

I was having a hard time getting my older, finicky cat to eat enough, but he seems to love this bowl and so far I haven’t had any more issues in getting him to eat.More > < Less

Excellent product

This bowl is heavy duty and well made. The circular mat DOES keep the bowl from moving. My two cats appear to like the bowls since they would go to this type of bowl and ignore my previously utilized FLAT bowl. In fact, they would not go to the flat bowl until the whisker relief food bowel was empty!More > < Less

The Best!!

If I could give this more stars I would. It works fantastically for our big tabby cat with giant whiskers. He is always up for a meal, but was not finishing his meals in the previous bowl. With this bowl, he eats consistently. Will definitely get another one for the little cat with big whiskers. Cat owners, get this bowl, it is a practical and caring way for meals.More > < Less

My cat approves

I don't know if "whisker fatigue" is a real thing or not but my cat loves her dish. Easy to clean, too.

My car was always leaving kibble in her bowl. And she is eating prescription cat food which is too expensive to waste. The whisker relief good bowls allow the food to gather together at the bottom, instead of grouping and getting stuck on the edges.. The cat is now able to get access to all of the kibble. I am so pleased that I ended up purchasing a total of 4 bowls -- so there was always a clean one available. They are easy to handwash, but I prefer the dishwasher to sanitize. The bowls do great in the dishwasher too!More > < Less

Why do cats throw food on the floor?

About Dr. Catsby's

Catering to Cats

Cat food bowls often aren’t designed with cats in mind. Co-Founder Loren Kulesus discovered this when his own cat left food uneaten.

Hunger strikes, scooping food out of the bowl, and acting up are all signs of whisker fatigue. That’s a real condition for our feline friends, whose ultra-sensitive whiskers can get over-stimulated. It’s painful for cats and stresses them out. And in most whisker fatigue cases, repeatedly bumping whiskers on a food bowl’s sides is the prime suspect.

So Loren and Co-Founder Erik Strom created their own bowl. Their sleek, stainless steel design has a shallow curve that piles food up in the center, and it sits on a non-skid mat for extra stability. When testing it out, they found that cats treated the bowl like a utensil, using the slope to nudge food into their mouths. (Cats are quite clever, after all.)

With no more whisker fatigue, Mr. Fluffles will be feeling stress-free and well fed, and that will make both of you happier.
