500 watts for how long? Isn't the relative measure watt/hour?

@Andrew great question! RIVER has 500W total output (300AC, 200DC). In terms of watt/hours, it varies based on what you are looking to charge. For example, RIVER can charge your phone over 30 times, your laptop 5-9 times, a projector for over 10 hours, a mini-fridge for around 10 hours, a Go-Pro over 80 times and more! With its 11 ports, you can charge these devices simultaneously as well.

@Hannah could this also Power a sump pump?

@Keith - Not unless it draws less than 2.5 amps at 120 volts (to reach the maximum stated output of 300 watts AC.) That would have to be a pretty small sump pump.

@Keith thanks for reaching out! RIVER cannot charge most sump pumps -- however it does work with 20 and 35 watt submersible fountain and pond pumps which can pump around 350 gallons/hour. Let me know if that answers your question! Thanks!

Hi Colleen! RIVER cannot operate a 700 watt Instant Pot Mini. Generating heat is very energy intensive and requires more energy than RIVER can store. RIVER has a total output of 500W (300AC and 200DC).

Can you use it to power something and recharge it with solar energy at the same time?

How long does it take to fully charge it?

@Donde Yes you can! RIVER has flow-through charging, which means you can use it and charge it at the same time. Our solar panels are also chainable.

RIVER takes 6 hours to charge via standard AC wall-charger, 9 hours via 12V car charger, and ~12 hours via our 50W solar panels. RIVERs re-charge input accepts 10-22V and up to 5A, so you can input via your own panels as well.
