Great mat knife

I have too many drywall (mat) knives to count. While ridiculously expensive for what it is, it has great ergonomics. Most comfortable one I've used. Won't use it for drywall. Everything else, yes. I like it too much to trash it on the job site! Why I bought a second one...More > < Less

As Pictured

I haven't opened the package, as I purchased this as a gift for my adult son. At first glance, I though, hmmm, kind of pricey, but it has SO many features! (read the description). It looks really well made & I think it will last a good long time. I love that the blade retracts & the tool folds in half, making it fit in small places, including your pocket.More > < Less

This is once well built utility knife and it works beautifully. Good weight and heft and the folding action is really impressive. Very happy with this item. Performs better than expected.More > < Less

Nifty tool

Easy to use and the color helps me find it when I invariably set it down somewhere and lose it ;)

very good But

This is a very nice utility knife. Well made, useful, and rugged. It took me 45 minutes to figure out how to load the blade. It looks like it should quickly load, But it’s too difficult for such a product. But once you have the idea, its quick after that. But with no instructions it’s frustrating and annoying....Too many buts to recommend higher.More > < Less

About EDC Hand Tools

More Utility

The Quickdraw XLR is a rugged new take on the folding utility knife. It fits both standard and special XLR retractable blades with added handy functions, too.

Typical utility knives can be one-note. So that’s why we were drawn to this multi-use one. The durable design has quick blade access in both open and closed positions, as well as a recessed wire stripper and a blade snap-off built in.

This knife’s usefulness is enhanced by its safety measures, too. The extra-long blade completely retracts, and a locking mechanism keeps the knife from flipping open or closed when the blade is extended. Plus, you don’t need any tools to change the blade, so it’s easier to ensure you’ve always got a sharp one on-hand.

Whether you’re working on a project or carrying one on camping trips, you’ll find plenty of uses for this well-designed tool.
