Smooth Surprise

Vigorous rubbing with gritty sandpaper may be good for wood, but it’s no way to treat your skin. That’s why Founder Yukio Iwamasa developed the Exfolia Beauty Cloth. Working with a dermatologist, Yukio designed a smooth exfoliating cloth made of patented ultra-fine fibers. 50 to 100 times thinner than human hair, the fibers are placed to run parallel to the surface of skin and shaped to get under the top layer. Gently massage those dead skin cells away and reveal the younger cells underneath, no scrubbing needed. Be especially gentle when you use it on your face. Because it doesn’t feel harsh and gritty, you may be tempted to scrub. Remember, Exfolia is the smooth exfoliating cloth. It removes dirt, deep cleans pores, and helps prevent blemishes for softer, smoother skin—not just on the face but all over the body. The cloths are washable and reusable up to 80 times with proper care. And proper care is what your skin deserves, too.

    If the exfoliation cloth is used only on the face, would the cloth last longer than 80 uses?

    @Deborah P

    EXFOLIA cloth is for total body skin - face, neck and decollete in particular. If use is limited to face then life of cloth will be extended by double or more. Hair stubble (leg) is the main determinant to life of cloth. Your assumption is astutely correct! You win!

    I have rosacea but struggle with extreme facial dryness despite frequent moisturizing. Will this product aggravate my rosacea? I need dry skin exfoliation a couple times a week, but gritty exfoliants increase my redness and, I suspect, increase broken capillaries. Thanks!

    @Susan

    If rosacea is pustular then your doctor needs to decide. However we receive many letters from clients who have reported relief unable elsewhere. Actual exfoliation of dead skin can be less than 2 times weekly. But, removal of excess sebum and pollution may require higher frequency for some. Don't use beads, crystals, shells, and other junk. They are crude and harmful to both your skin and the Exfolia cloth. Many large and famous companies are selling "exfoliation" products under false pretenses. The Exfolia regimen is a safe and controllable method. Good luck. Yukio

    Thanks so much! I have actually outgrown the acne part of rosacea and now have post-menopausal dry skin. What remains is the redness and capillary breakdown. Can't wait to try this!

    I really like the idea of this product as an alternative to facial soap that has those microdermabrasion beads in them--that are actually made of plastic and end up floating in our oceans & lakes! Thanks!

    @elizabeth Right on the mark Elizabeth! Besides that they are way to big - kinda like using bowling balls to mow your lawn. Aluminum-oxide crystals such as found L'Oreal cleanser are essentially shards of glass the cause micro-cuts to lower layers of the epidermis. Super incremental, natural, elegant exfoliation is what you get with Exfolia cloths. Just don't go overboard. We don't choke and kill fish. Nice and important observation dear Elizabeth!
