European Cheese Storage Bags and Paper

It's a Wrap

Calling all cheese lovers—if you want to keep that wedge of brie creamy and full of flavor, it’s time to stop suffocating it in plastic wrap.

Do as the French do and keep it fresh with a two-ply cheese paper called Formaticum made in where else but France.

While everyday non-porous food storage solutions block oxygen and trap humidity killing cheese and accelerating the growth of mold, Fomaticum wicks away moisture and delivers oxygen to maintain flavor and prevent spoilage. The results are nothing short of delicious.

Hi Marcia, how long does the cheese last in these papers and bags?

Thanks for the question. I have stored cheese up to 3 weeks using these papers and it has been fine. You should however, regularly remove stored cheese from your refrigerator - unwrap and inspect it.

It's not clear whether one should get the paper and the bags, or is either the bags or paper sufficient?

@H Hi, it's a personal preference if you want to wrap your cheese in the papers or store in the bags. You do not need to use both. Thanks!
