Bought one for my husband-he was so satisfied with it that I bought another one for my daughter, whose soil is very tough to dig up.

I was using a shovel to pull up my weeds. This Root Slayer Shovel makes it a lot easier. Sturdy, solid constuction too.

big patch of overgrown dietes gone

Worked great - the long strong handle, wide area for feet, narrow initial edge were exactly right for digging up the wire- like pervasive roots of the patch of clumping overgrown fortnight lillies. Didn't feel like I was going to break the handle when I pried up the clumps, could get deeper underneath them to get all of the roots up since I could jump on the foot area. Fairly heavy, very sturdy, well and thoughtfully designed.More > < Less

Used Shovel the day after I received it to install a mailbox post.Easily cut through sod, hard packed soil, and tree roots. Pleasantly surprised how well it worked.More > < Less

Just came in from digging up weeds. This shovel goes deep and digs up most of the root and leaves. Some roots are just too long and I can't get the entire root. You can edge with it too.

It's really saving so much time and it's the best garden tool I've used. My hats off to you. I brought the shovel into the house to store it as I didn't want anyone to steal it. I love it!!! Good for a women as it worked well for me.

About Radius Garden

Root Removers

Radius Garden Founder Bruce Baker created the Root Slayer family of root shovels to streamline digging, chopping, and sawing while you’re hard at work in the garden. And because Bruce always has usability and function in mind, his tools are ergonomic, durable, and guaranteed to last a lifetime.

These toughened up garden tools are made from strong but lightweight carbon steel, and all have an inverted-V cutting blade that’s lined with rip-saw teeth—this is where the slaying action comes from. The blade’s design is purposefully more narrow than typical tools to give you better access and leverage around roots. Ergonomic grips boost comfort, and there are even smart add-ons—like a twine cutter and bottle opener—built into the trowel and soil knife. These tools are a smarter way to get the dirty, root-removing job done.
