Talking Stickers

These personalized messaging stickers can do the talking for you. Stick one on any physical object to add video, audio, or pictures. Put a voice or video recording in a greeting card. Give guests instructions for your remote control. Add Grandpa’s voice to a storybook. Let gallery visitors learn about the inspiration behind a painting. The uses are as infinite as your imagination. Once you create content, you link it to the sticker via the TINE app. Others can access that content by scanning the sticker with their smartphone. Each sticker uses a QR code—which can store a web address or other info. But unlike other QR codes, TINE lets you limit who can see the content. TINE’s Founders came up with their idea while sharing a bottle of wine. Hearing from the winemaker, they thought, would really enhance their experience. Now sharing memories, instructions, messages—or anything you want—is as easy as sticking on a sticker.

@Nedda Hi, great idea! I get that each tiny tag can be a unique message but can all tags carry the identical message? If I wanted to record the same message on 1000 tags, would I have to record the same message 1000 times or once and upload it then to 1000 stickers? How long does it take to upload? Did I also interpret the following correctly: (The person who sets up the tag can also replace the message anytime they want via the app.)? Meaning I can send new content every month (or at any interval) to the QR sticker recipient via my app?

  • Nedda
    Nedda – Special Guest
    3/3/2016 6:03 PM

@Andy Great question! The code on each tag is unique-- we do give you the ability to link one tag to another. You don’t need to re-upload your content and the process of linking a tag takes about 20 to 30 seconds. So it may take a while to link 1000 tags with the same content. You can always email us at support@tinetag.com if you’re planning on using TINE for marketing and need help.

As for new content, you’re correct, you could update your tags remotely on a monthly basis so your customer could have a new audio or video message on their tag to scan or view in the TINE app.

  • Nedda

    3/3/2016 7:16 PM

@Carlye TINE Tags are printed on paper and coated in a weather resistant plastic coating. While they will withstand getting wet, and some outdoor weather, they aren’t designed nor tested for extended outdoor use. For extended use you would want to laminate or otherwise encase them.

This is really awesome! I'm going to use it for my vacation rental to explain various things around the house to guests. Can I look to see how many times and who viewed the particular clip? And I think you said that I can limit who views the particular item. For example, if I put it on the front door so my guests can learn how to gain entry, can I set it so only a particular phone number views it or something like that? Last question, what is the best way to adhere the tab? Does it have a sticky side? Can't wait until you all start customizing the stickers with my logo...you're going to do that, right? :)

Hi Sandra, that is a fantastic use for TINE. Yes, you can control who can view the content. And there is an adhesive side that you can stick on to a variety of surfaces. We'll have to wait and see on the logo ;)

Once you create content, you link it to the sticker via the TINE app. Others can access that content by scanning the sticker with their smartphone. Each sticker uses a QR code—which can store a web address or other info. But unlike other QR codes, TINE lets you limit who can see the content.

@Nedda Are they printed on paper or plastic? What I'm wondering is, are they weather resistant, i.e. can they be used outdoors as they are, or would they need to be laminated or otherwise encased?
