Comfortable and feel great

3/12/2019 by Brian

A good fit and very comfortable. I use them when driving long distances and my feet feel great at the end of the drive. I haven’t had them long enough to speak to their durability, but they are comfortable. Like they warn in the description, you will feel the terrain you are walking on - even more so than other barefoot shoes like the five fingers. The sole/bottom of the foot is extremely pliant - not rigid at all. Keeping that in mind they are very comfortable and I’m glad I purchased them.More > < Less

Didn’t work for me

3/28/2019 by Stacy

I am disabled and high hopes for using these for travel. But sadly they didn’t work out. The bottoms are very course, scratchy & crispy. I’m sure this is to make them more durable. But, it really just feels like walking on crispy socks without any support. Since I needed to walk from the car into the airport, it didn’t feel like there would be enough support for my feet. Perhaps if I just needed them for around the house and going in the front or backyard for short periods it would be fine. Unfortunately, I’m returning.More > < Less

Almost love them

I really like the sole and upper of the shoe but my foot sweats, even in the cold weather. I tried wearing a thin sock but still to sweaty.

About SKINNERS

Hybrid Shoes

Skinners founder Peter Prochazka was inspired to create a hybrid sock-shoe when helping a friend recover from a foot injury. The friend couldn't wear traditional shoes and Peter wanted to give him a way to move around more comfortably without sacrificing protection.

The solution? A lightweight, pull-on design that combines the flexibility of socks with a grippy, structured, shoe-like sole. Peter packed many other feet-pleasing features into his washable barefoot sock shoes. The stretchy knit upper is made with moisture-wicking, silver-infused, antibacterial yarn. This keeps odors at bay and feet feeling comfortable. At the bottom, a structured sole made with Swedish polymers offers grip and stability, whether you're at the gym, on a hike, or traveling. Skinners are washable and portable, so a pair can go pretty much wherever you want to—just roll them up and head out.
