Silicone Squeegee
Why antibacterial silicone sponges haven’t always been a thing is beyond us. They’re equally great at cleaning your dishes and themselves, and the WaveSponge design is particularly clever.
It’s dishwasher safe as well as bacteria- and odor-resistant. A squeegee texture helps push food and liquids off surfaces, a nylon scraper tackles crusty areas, and a little soap pocket helps achieve a squeaky-clean finish.
The squeegee surface creates a tight seal so no crumb is left behind. It’s safe to use on nonstick coating cookware, too. The silicone’s non-porous material makes it far more hygienic than regular sponges. Sanitize it by soaking it in boiling water or just run it through the dishwasher.

10/19/2017 11:32 AMWhat a handy little device! Ever since the dishwasher went out and we decided not to replace it, We have been using standard "scrubber" sponges made from wood cellulose.
I can see this coming in very handy!
Any idea what the life expectancy is for the sponge?

I've been using the WaveSponge for over 6 months daily and scrubbing some really greasy and stuck on messes -- mine still looks brand new. WaveSponge is made with long lasting non-porous, bacteria and odor resistant silicone so it's durable and easy to keep clean and will last longer than your typical sponge.

10/19/2017 12:25 PM@Tracy Hello Tracy, There is an opening at the bottom edge of the WaveSponge to put a squirt or two of dish soap then there are three holes on each flat side of the sponge that release the soap. Please note, you do not need to fill the cavity with soap, you are welcome to place the dish soap directly on the dish or right on top of the WaveSponge--whatever works best for you.

10/19/2017 1:03 PMSounds like a great product but I have some questions. How is it antibacterial? Does it kill bacteria as in, is it impregnated with any antibacterial chemicals? Or are you just saying bacteria won't grow on silicone surfaces? Also, can liquid foods/grease penetrate the pores to go into the soap pocket? Will that pocket be easy to clean out since I don't see it getting well cleaned in a dishwasher. Thanks!

10/19/2017 1:51 PM@Raymond Hi Raymond, Silicone is naturally antibacterial, because it does not absorb or retain moisture. Yes the soap pocket is open so liquids can go in but can be rinsed out or put in the dishwasher to cleaned out more thoroughly. Hope that helps.
