Meditation should be relaxing, but unwinding is much more challenging when you’re uncomfortable. Alexia is an ergonomic meditation cushion that lets you find your zen with perfect posture and comfort. Alexia Nascimento Roizner is a meditation devotee, but she hadn’t mastered getting comfortable. Her husband used his textile engineer degree to improve the functionality, comfortability, and beauty of this gorgeous seat. This design is based on research of ancient Zen & Yoga books to find the right combination of support, comfort, and beauty. Alexia’s internal foundation points help your body find perfect sukhasana pose. Also known as “easy seated pose,” sukhasana is used in yoga for easing hip tension and reducing stress. Alexia raises the hips and angles them forward to naturally make you sit up straight, while your legs fold underneath you—without the pressure of your body weight. Alexia’s lotus-like design is enhanced by richly colored fabric or leather—it’s an unusual-but-practical piece. Whether you’re working, relaxing, or just watching TV, Alexia can improve your meditation practice as well as your posture.

@Linda There is no particularly, just the support in the knee area would move down your let if you are to tall, but is the exact same effect. To hold you legs in a gentle way.

@Elizabeth @Jean Sorry for the Delay, Thanks so much, the seats are a little expensive to manufacture, and are 100% hand crafted, we are not bringing any lesser expensive units, but we are definitely coming up with, Our Vegan Leather line. here we have two price point the one for Leather and the one for Fabric, fabric being the less pricey.

Please change "mediation" to "meditation" on the pictures of the "meditation" seat.

It's a very common mistake...although the seat may be used for mediation sessions...

how well does the seat accommodate an over six foot tall person? The tuck in your legs fits the model, but I don't think she is that tall.

  • Carlos
    Carlos – Special Guest
    5/10/2016 12:40 PM

@rusty I had many tall individuals to sat in the Alexia Meditation Seat, all of them agree that is super comfortable, the only thin that happens is because of longer leg the knee support will be closer to the calf. The function of this support is to give a nice angle in which you leg is supported so you don't open up so much.

    Hey Carlos,

How would this product fare for a person with Sciatica pain?

  • Carlos
    Carlos – Special Guest
    5/10/2016 2:07 PM

@Chad Thank you for asking, certainly we do not promise any cures for back problems, we offer a confortable way of sitting and a gentle way to hold the body, we believe that the main problem is when 90* angle seats are excessively used for long periods of time 8 hrs shift, this before mentioned usually don't distribute the body weight correctly, part of the weight haves to be also taking care by the ischium, the inclination on the back, forces your pelvis and waist to open and this causes you column to be naturally straight with less effort, I hope this answers your question , thank you so much.
