These reusable silicone food storage bags do a lot more than the toss-out plastic ones can—like stand up. They’re airtight and leak-proof thanks to a sealing slider, and so a great choice for storing liquids like soup and sauces. The bags have a flat bottom for easy filling and can go in the microwave, oven, dishwasher, and freezer. You can even write on one with a dry erase marker.

  • Materials: Bags: BPA- and phthalate-free food-grade silicone; Sealer bar: Plastic
  • Care: Wash before first use. Dishwasher safe
  • Includes: Four food storage bags, four airtight and leak-proof sealer bars
  • Instructions: Remove slider bar before any heating. Slide the bar in and out from the side with the arrow. For best results, ensure slider bar and seal area of bag are dry before sealing. If you are freezing liquids, do not fill more than the max fill line. Write on the bag with a dry erase marker, if desired
  • Airtight and leak-proof container

  • Stand-up bottom for easy filling
  • Great for use in oven, microwave, sous vide, and freezer

Great storage bags!!

7/16/2019 by Pamela

I made some chili so I can try out these bags and they really do a nice job. They stand upright while you're filling them which makes for an easy job with no spills. They seal quite nicely with the sliding bar and great in the freezer. Once you wash them before the first use, they are easy to get opened because when they're first not washed, it's hard to get the bag to open, so like the directions say, wash before use. I would recommend this product.More > < Less

I LOVE THESE SILICONE BAGS

6/25/2019 by Kristene

I've been buying and using these same bags for over a year. They do exactly what they're supposed to do! Stand up, no leaks, freeze, microwave, place in hot water, etc. Easy to wash and totally reusable!

Since there are several online companies that sell them, I have no idea about the provenance of these. I just know that someone very clever created them...!

no spill

7/15/2019 by Rimona

I do like it very much. It doesn't wash very well, so they are stained by my spices. But, overall it's a relief to take my lunch to work and not to worry about spilling it in my carryon lunch bag. Warning, you need to add a minute to your microwave as it's take a litlle longer to warm up. But, I LOVE ITMore > < Less

Better than plastic

7/9/2019 by Carolyn

I want to use less plastic and these bags are a step in that direction. They could be improved though - they are difficult to open and close and I think it would be helpful if they were clear.More > < Less

About EcoLifeMate

Stand-Up Baggies

EcoLifeMate reusable food storage bags come from Maker Jay Smith, who was looking to curtail his family’s excessive plastic baggie habit. He even tried washing them out for reuse, but that was a soggy, not-so-great idea. Jay decided to make a better baggie that does the usual jobs and much more.

His sturdy silicone solution is a stand-out in the kitchen. These durable flat-bottom bags stand up for easier filling and have a slider top that creates a leak-proof seal. (Storing soup in a bag? It can be done.) The bags can go in the oven, microwave, dishwasher, and freezer—heck, you can even write on one with a dry erase marker.

When you think about it, Jay managed to tackle two problems. He built a versatile, functional, and eco-friendlier baggie and was able to toss out his throw-away guilt, all at once.
