Mission: Organization

Digital calendars and cellphone alarms are handy for remembering specific appointments, but when you’re trying to coordinate an entire family’s work, school and social schedules, nothing beats a real calendar that you can hang on the wall so everyone -- kids, parents, babysitters -- knows where they’re going and what’s happening next. Glow Baby calendars and planners are the brainchild of Lindsay Harris, who set out to design her own user-friendly scheduling tools when she couldn’t find anything in stores that fit the needs of busy families. Her Family School Calendar covers 12 months (September 2011 through August 2012) and includes monthly pages paired with 52 weekly planner pages that can accommodate six people’s schedules and scores of play dates, field trips and dentist appointments. For readying meals, the Glow Baby Family Menu Planner helps organize each week’s meals and build grocery lists. We’ve found if we spend some time planning, it’s easier to stay within our food budgets and adhere to our nutritional goals. Plus, being better prepared cuts down on extra runs to the grocery store. The Family Menu Planner includes detachable shopping lists, charts for tracking food preferences, and envelopes for storing recipes. There’s also a section to help plan special occasions, complete with event info, a menu planning chart and RSVP list. As the lazy (and not so lazy) days of summer wind down, it’s a great time to get organized for the busy fall season. Lindsay’s clear, well-designed planners are the perfect kick-start.

Hi Daily Grommet fans. As a mom of two, I know how crazy life can be when you add kids into the mix. When I decided to create an organizational system, I wanted to make sure it looked chic and had the tools that busy families everywhere needed to stay more organized. I am excited that Daily Grommet has chosen to share my organizational system with you today. I am here to answer any questions you have.

What I think is GREAT about this calendar is that it starts on Monday. This allows all of us to see the "school week" together and the week-end together. WONDERFUL.

I love Glow Baby's products! The Family Calendar is pure genius - I love ours. It's just what I needed to keep track of everyone's busy schedules.

I've also given a number of the Baby's First Journals to new moms - they make a great baby shower gift.

I like the idea of the Meal Planner. I think I may have to get one of those :)

I love how you created this calendar when your kids were so young. You are going to need it more and more as they grow into more activities and responsibilities!

I am very excited that Glow Baby was chosen for today's Daily Grommet. I am thrilled to be able to share our Calendar and Menu Planner with this audience. I don't know what I would do without these two items. I rely on them both heavily and credit my success at juggling home life and Glow Baby to these two organizational tools. Our calendar is definitely the hub of our home and keeps us all on track each week. The menu planner makes it super easy for me during the week as I never have to guess what's for lunch or dinner. Life is stressful enough and these two products really help cut down on my stress level.
