EARBUDi Flex Headphone Clips

Listen in Comfort

EARBUDi is an earbud hook that makes those one-size-fits-all Apple earbuds work for every ear.

Snap them inside these over-the-ear loops. The flexible design lets you shape them to fit perfectly—and comfortably. Whether you’re at work or working out, your earbuds will stay put.

Gordon Beckhart created EARBUDi for hitting the slopes, running, or even just walking around. After trying several different styles without success, he
went back to the standard issue Apple earbuds. He invented this so they would fit well enough to experience their high sound quality.

If you like to hear the noise around you, you can even wear your hooks a little looser. Whatever your preferred fit, Apple’s earbuds now conform to you.

@Minnie O Hi Minnie, Great Question. Right now we only have a version for the Apple earbuds, but we are looking to add more models in the future. Love to hear what earbuds you are using.

@Rick Hi Rick, Thanks for your question. Yes, these are for the newer 'egg shaped' Apple buds. These EarPods come with all iPhone 5 (5, 5c, 5s) and iPhone 6 (6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus) models and the newly released iPhone SE.

This seems like such a a great idea - everyone in my family has small ears and we all use different kinds of phones. Any chance you will be creating a more universal Earbudi?

@Molly Hi Molly, Thanks very much for the great suggestion. We would love to create a more universal version. We will definitely keep in mind as we do our new product development.

    @Gordon .

Ideally you would have launched a Universal model out of the starting gate to capture the entire market instead of having to tell interested buyers, "we don't make one for you yet", and leaving a gap for your competition to fill before you do.

It is such a great idea, I wanted it, ready to buy without even looking at the price, until finding out it was only for Apple.

Hi Donna and Snype, it's a great idea. I know a lot of people would like these for their standard earbuds. The main reason why it is for Apple specifically is because the "one size fits all" model of Apple earbuds in particular is a problem for many iPhone users. Other types of earbuds tend to fit better so there isn't as much of a need. EARBUDI is certainly not alone in designing a product with Apple in mind first then getting into other styles. iPhones remain the top smartphone so there is a bigger market.

@Mike Hi Donna and Snype, We really appreciate your feedback. There are lots of earbuds out there beyond the Apple ones, but as a small company we had to start somewhere. We are thrilled to get the great interest for a universal version.

@Laurie Hi Laurie, Thanks for the great question. I think you will find these very comfortable under a knit hat and with glasses. They are comfortable on my ears under a hat, under a bike or ski helmet, and with my sunglasses. Every ear is a little different, but the bendable ear loop lets you shape it to maximize your comfort.

Future design idea - something that will hold my mother's hearing aids in place!

    4/15/2016 12:52 PM

@Kay Hi Kay, I certainly understand this, my mom has the same issue. Interestingly, we have had folks with hearing aids, use the EARBUDi to hold their earbuds on while their hearing aid is in place. This allows the earbud to 'hang' outside the hearing aid.

Given the price, and how great an idea it is, I may just buy a pair and try them on my earbuds. Mine are not Apple, but they are very, very similar. The only concern is the snapping over the post. We'll see!

@nancy Hi Nancy, Thanks for your question. Yurbuds is a great brand and some of their earbud models look like they could work with EARBUDi. Unfortunately we have not tested these directly, so we can't say for sure if they will snap on.

I wear Resound in-ear hearing aids with a small plastic wire that loops over my ear. A receiver is attached to the plastic wire and remains behind my ear. Would the Earbudi Flex healdphone clips work with such hearing aids? It seems both hearing aid and Earbudis are designed for the same space. I would really love it if these would work since my Apple earbuds won't ever stay in when I'm wearing my hearing aids. Thanks! Kris

    Gordon – Special Guest
    4/15/2016 4:59 PM

@Kris Hi Kris, Very interesting. On first look, I agree, it appears that the hearing aid and EARBUDis take the same space behind your ear. I think this may be a great use for the bendable nature of the ear loop. It definitely can be bent around the receiver that goes behind your ear. Happy to guarantee your experience, so no risk for trying them.

Hi Cindy, it's a very good question. Yes, EARBUDi is designed help the earbud stay on your ear.

  • Gordon

    4/15/2016 5:17 PM

@Cindy Hi Cindy, Thanks for your question. Ear wax should not be an issue keeping earbuds in, since the EARBUDis hold onto the back of the ear. Also since the hold is from the ear loop, you no longer need to push the earbud into your ear, which may help.

@Gordon I used Earbudi at the gym, the loop made the headphones stay on even during sit-ups. The could also hang the ear buds on my shirt and it made it much easier to know which bud was for the left or right ear.
