Style your ride

Back in the day, almost every automaker used hood ornaments to display their brand. Now, there’s a distinctive new way to bring your own personal style to the grille of your car. Founded by Rick Gauntlett and his step-father, Ron, the two embarked on a journey to re-invent the classic bronze motor mascots of the past. Grillies are a modern pewter spin that let you put your hobbies and interests front and center on your ride. Proudly made in the USA, every Grillie begins as a clay sculpture in the hands of a skilled artisan. Then, each design is cast in pewter with a protective finish for durability and polished to bring out its unique character and beautiful detail. Many of the styles are handcrafted by students at RISD (The Rhode Island School of Design). Grillies are easy to apply and just as easy to remove. Unlike bumper stickers, there’s no sticky residue. So, go ahead—add some charm to your car and enjoy the drive.

    Hi Susan,

We don't currently have an Angel Grillie. Yet!! We've had a few requests. It just seems like there are so many future Grillies and so little time....

Keep checking back with us. And feel free to send some good angel imagery that we might use to create our model from.

Hey Geoff! I like the way you think!! There are tons of directions we can go in. Which is one of the really fun things about Grillies!

I'd love to do Trekkie stuff, Cartoon characters and the like, but there are licensing issues we need to get squared away first.

Keep coming back to check us out. We're always adding to the line and I can't wait to have some of what you're talking about.

    Cheers,

Hi James, Thanks for your interest in Grillie! I'd really like to do a Shriners and a Freemsasonry Grillie. I've been trying to figure out if licensing is required to reproduce their artwork. If you know the answer to that, it would be great to know.

    Thanks,

    Hi Brenda,

I get that question all the time. First off, Grillies bolt on which was important when I designed them as I knew that people would have this concern. Secondly and more importantly, you have to be able to open the hood to install them. Which means you have to be able to open the hood to uninstall them. We have an installation video on our website which kind of shows it.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks,

    Rick
