Gruv Fishing

Tidy Tackle

Gruv Fishing Makers, fishermen, and friends Tim Jenkins and Ki Aston first tackled creating a better way to organize flies for fly fishing before turning their attention to redesigning traditional tackle boxes. There are no foam inserts or wonky, pull-out drawers here. At the core of these organizers is a silicone anchoring system that grips hard bait, lures, and jigs and holds them securely in place in neat and tidy rows. The Launch Pad uses that same slotted approach in an out-of-the-box way. It adheres to surfaces on a boat, kayak, or even to a cooler to keep tackle and jigs easily within reach—and perfectly organized.

Quick Questions

Are the boxes affected by plastics?

Silicone doesn’t interact negatively with plastics. The polycarbonate shell used for the boxes also does not interact negatively with plastics. Gruv tested many different types and brands of plastics with the boxes and tests have shown no negative effect on neither the box itself or the silicone anchoring systems.

Are the boxes waterproof?

The boxes are not waterproof. Silicone repels water and moisture, so when the hooks are anchored in the silicone anchors or slits, any moisture that may be on the bait or hook or in the box is repelled away from your tackle. Because the silicone anchors hold the tackle so well, you can simply shake out any remaining moisture and you’re set.
