The Power of Positive Thinking

Helena Cho believes that surrounding yourself with positive messages is the way to make a difference. What you think about, you bring about. It's simple, but simply powerful when you really embrace it. So in 2008 Helena founded Humanity For All to help make her credo a fashionable reality for everyone, while raising funds for various charities at the same time. Today's Grommet is her Humanity Wrap-Around Bracelet, which we first learned about from Sue Zimmerman who owns a boutique on Cape Cod. At first blush it's simply a fun and modern leather bracelet that winds around the wrist and fits everyone (the adjustable clasp means you can wear it how you like). Look more closely, though, and you'll see powerful messages in the silver lettering. "Speak kindness. Lead the way. Make a difference. Live in unity." It's not in-your-face, just woven around your wrist. You're literally surrounding yourself with positive messages -- which can come in handy when your spirit needs a lift. Nobody can do everything, but everybody can do something. That's the philosophy behind Humanity For All, and a darn good reason to pick up one (or two or three) of these fun and inspiring bracelets for yourself or loved ones.

Sue, I wear my Humanity Bracelet every day to remind myself of what matters most in life. I am also giving several as gifts. It's a wonderful, fashionable way to express yourself. So HAPPY to see you are on Daily Grommet-one of my absolute go-to's for great gifting made simple.

I'm sorry.. it's cute and all, but you name a company Humanity and then use leather?! What exactly is humane about that? Epic fail. If you wish to extend happiness and peace to others, perhaps you should practice the art of compassion towards all creatures. Humans aren't the only ones who deserve to be treated humanely.

If you want to start something for your objectives, then do it. Do not berate Sue for doing what she believes in, do something for what you believe in, start your own bracelet company, or whatever, just don't put people down for what they believe in. Hi Sue B.

Congrats on a fantastic idea to spread 'positive messages' since our thoughts are our reality. As Dr. Dyer states: "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at...change".

As far as the leather 'issue', consider using supple 'VEGETABLE LEATHER". I used it in the '80's for an accessory leather collection and it worked out fantastic.

As far as your choice to name the line 'Humanity', I am envious of your choice since it speaks so clearly to the meaning of your positive messages. Congrats!!!

As far as your business...continued success!

She has a great eye for what makes a statement!

They're really cute and all, but for $26 and they don't even benefit any cause? Seems to me that if the creator was really concerned about humanity for all, she would contribute a portion of her proceeds to charities.

They also have an alliance with United Way and St. Bernard Project for helping the families who are still in FEMA trailers. They also have a line whose proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Society, Inc.

To me this is about Fashion With a Purpose AND finding inspiration in surprising places. I try to surround myself with positive people because they inspire me. I found Sue in a circle of positive, wonderfully creative women all inspired by the Humanity bracelets. They created a buzz at the marketplace and are creating a buzz here on Daily Grommet (in more ways that one!). Sue is such a genuine person who was a gem to work with. Helena Cho created a colorful leather bracelet that would be appealing to a broad audience, including celebrities who help support the causes that Humanity supports. I admire both Sue and Helena for being entrepreneurs and for following their dreams to do something -- something that will benefit others and not just themselves. We are fortunate to share their stories with you. I can only hope that the messages on these bracelets help remind people what is important and that the messages spread the positive words into action.
