RFID Protection Wallets

Thin Is In

Made of both aluminum and carbon fiber plates that protect against RFID skimming by providing protection of your identity and credit cards; that's HuMn.

Ready to find a modern replacement for a thick, bulky wallet? So were Ken Minn and Scott Hussa of HuMn Wallets. The two travel-loving designers tried just about every type of
wallet, money clip and card case available before deciding to make their own. They wanted something lightweight, flexible and durable that would allow easy access to cash and credit cards, yet also protect against RFID skimming (a form of electronic eavesdropping that involves thieves reading digital information off credit cards). Their creation, the HuMn wallet, delivers all that while maintaining a sleek, modern profile.

The construction of the HuMn wallet is simple yet highly functional. It consists of a pair of aluminum plates, which create a barrier against scanning, and an elastic shock cord to compress the plates together. The pocket-friendly setup holds up to eight cards, plus your cash. The colors are bold and creative, just like the engineering.

If you’re ready to lighten your pockets, try HuMn. It holds just what you need without weighing you down.

I notice the wallet is powder coated but how sharp are the edges...will it wear through pants pockets? I notice it comes with a micro-fiber bag and was curious as to why....if the bag is to protect against that and if you don't use it...will it wear through pockets faster? Thanks!

@Jerica The edges are smooth and rounded so it shouldn't wear through. I've been using mine for almost 2 years with no issues. Just lovin it! The microfiber bag is simply a reusable bag you can use to carry anything else like coins, etc. Hope this helps. Stay HuMn!

@Guest Thanks for the feedback. Our aluminum wallets are all made right here in Oregon. We have 4 different application/processes...from the aluminum fab, finish, laser engraving to the shock strap mfg. Yes, it's a simple product on the outside but you'd be amazed at the process/time involved to producing these...especially here in the US. Lastly, you won't have to replace your HuMn Wallet for years to come. This should save you additional $$ in the long run. Hope this helps. Stay HuMn!

In the US, do we really have to worry about RFID skimming the magstrip credit cards?

And I agree that the price is rich -- there are many similar products out there for less.

    Hi GS and Guest,

Thanks for your feedback. While RFID skimming isn't something we should need to worry about on a daily basis, it is something that's good to be conscious of on a continual basis. You can feel confident in knowing your wallet has that extra layer of safety and that makes people feel good.

This product is made right here in the U.S. so the price is a bit higher than what you'd find made abroad. It's also made of aircraft grade aluminum, a very high quality material.

    @GS More info regarding RFID:

As for price, the HuMn Wallet is not a "disposable" wallet like most. The HW is very unique in style/function and will outlast most traditional/boring wallets out there...RFID blocking or not. You'll save in the long run from not having to replace your existing wallets over time.

great concept but extremely overpriced, even if made in USA. Too bad... just means it will be knocked off overseas.

@Kyle We appreciate your feedback. We've done extensive research on our pricing model based on quality, cost, marketing, distribution, etc. Between both our Kickstarter projects last year and over 12,000 customers, the feedback's been very positive for a high quality product. We understand there will be cheaper products out there. We're focusing on our customer's need for a high quality wallet along with outstanding service. Again, thank you for your feedback.

    1. I bought a $20 RFID wallet and it came apart when I took it out of the package

    2. The people who part these $20 wallets together are making slave wages

    3. If we want to but hings made in the USA way must pay - try to look at it from the reverse perspective - how much is your labor worth?

This is really neat! But I wonder if there are issues with cards slipping out from inside. Is there any sort of grip on the inside or is the elastic super tight? Would hate to buy it, open it up and have all my cards fall on the ground. Thanks for any insight!

@Ashley Good question Ashley. The HuMn Wallet and shock strap has been tested for durability and holding power. It continues to do a great job of holding the cards in. The physics of opening from the top naturally closes the gap on the bottom therefore, no fall out.

    Hope this helps. Stay HuMn!

How do you prevent the cards from falling through?

Although I like the minimalist design, there is a design on Kickstarter called "The Ridge" that is both less expensive and a very good design.
