Not as advertised

10/18/2018 by Kim

I took this thing outside to pull the pin because it’s advertised as loud as a plane taking off. I pulled pin out expecting to plug my ears and it wasn’t loud. I could talk normal to my daughter while it was sounding off and she could hear me. Don’t recommendMore > < Less

I was expecting better

The alarm is not loud at all. I bought several as stocking stuffers for family members. It didn’t come with any instructions other than pull the pin. In the cover picture, it Is not loud. What am I doing wrong?More > < Less

I was hoping to purchase quite a few of these as stocking stuffers for my friends for Christmas, but after receiving my own, I changed my mind. To operate the alarm you have to pull the plug from the base. This connection is so tight that I have to struggle to get it dislodged. In an emergency, I would be in big trouble before I could get this to work.More > < Less

Not loud

9/4/2018 by James

"Ear-splitting" is not what I heard. It is a moderately loud high-pitched squeal, but would probably not send assailants scrambling to get away. 130 decibels is NOT what this is. Maybe the battery in my unit is weak, but should not be in a new product. Disappointed.More > < Less

About iMaxAlarm

Sound The Alarm

Feel and stay safer with a keyring alarm that looks unassuming but packs a powerful 130-decibel alert.

Pull the top to activate an attention-drawing sound that is as loud as a jet taking off or a jackhammer in action. Trust us, it is ear-splitting. The alarm is reusable—just pop the pin back to stop the sound.

Maker Michael Su modeled the low-key design on a traditional key fob so it can be attached to a keychain, bag, or worn on a lanyard. There are styles suited for kids and it’s TSA-friendly, too.

The alarm can do the job of warding off unwanted attention and works as a call for help as well. It is handy in so many situations for so many types of people—nighttime runners and commuters, campers, students, elderly folks—that we couldn’t think of anyone who wouldn’t benefit from this small, but powerful alarm.
