Very cool gift

12/19/2018 by Alli

I bought this as a gift for my spouse. There is definitely a learning curve to using it, but it is a really fun gift. Difficult to figure out the temperature (if it is too hot the pizza will burn on bottom, but if too cold the top cooks before the bottom), but we have had mostly delicious pizzas so far.More > < Less

Amazing! But also wished I had ordered it with the pizza stone. Would be helpful to have a crust recipe included...

Awesome

I have now used this several times. I works extremely well. I am very pleased with this overall. The only thing I did was added a couple extra bolt to make it a little more stable

Would and already have recommended it to friends. And now know one of our friends already purchased one.

Great way to make pizza

1/13/2019 by Lynn

We tried our Kettle Pizza the first time with great success. It took a little longer than expected to cook as we put the wood chips on too early. We learned to put them on just before putting the pizza in. The pizza had a great taste. We are very pleased with the product.
My only dissatisfaction was in the way it was shipped. I had ordered this item and another item as Christmas gifts. The kettle came in a box that clearly contained a pizza oven in it, the deluxe model. My husband knew what he was getting when he picked up the mail that day. And the other gift I ordered was inside this box when my husband opened the box (after Christmas). That other person did not get their Christmas gift! I never would have thought the other item was inside the Pizza Kettle box. Why would a type of flashlight be packaged inside a pizza oven box?????????

Burnt bottom crust

7/9/2018 by David

I have made 3 pizzas with the KettlePizza. Pizza #1 and 3 had very burnt bottom crusts. The second pizza’s bottom crust was slightly less burnt but could have used more browning of the top crust. I have cooked the pizzas at a wide range of temperatures, but still no luck. I keep the coals and wood at the back of the grill and have preheated the stone for the recommended time. I sent an email to KettlePizza, asking for tips, but have not heard back from them yet. Hoping for success soon!More > < Less

About KettlePizza

Pizza Cookout

Al Contarino built his first grill top pizza oven in 2010 to solve the consistent-high-temperature problem that often thwarted his grill-powered pizza-making efforts. Along with fellow inventor George Peters, they tested their grill pizza insert out on friends who raved so much that the duo knew they were on to something.

KettlePizza is the result of Al and George’s hard work, and their determination to design and manufacture it on their own and in the USA.

The oven inserts fit on top of the grill grates in gas and charcoal grills. The gas grill insert is designed to help heat circulate and radiate down from the lid to cook the pizza evenly and completely. The charcoal grill insert does the same job in just about any kettle-style grill. Charcoal briquets along with hardwood help get that perfect wood-fired crispiness (and taste).

Whatever type of grill you have, KettlePizza makes it easy to add pizza to your cookout menu—and feed the crowd in under 10 minutes.
