I’m so glad to have our GRIPSTIC featured as today’s Grommet. THE GRIPSTIC is a remarkable, reusable device that slides onto the open end of any bag to lock and seal air-tight. This unique, patented closure is superior to clips, clamps, or zip-top bags because it locks the entire bag opening, keeping packaged foods fresh and contained – even water. THE GRIPSTIC has become extremely popular with thousands of consumers. I am here and would love to answer any questions you may have for me today!
Brilliant product idea. I'll save the price of these in no time because I'll no longer need to use so many of those expensive "zip-lock" kind of bags. I can stick with the bags the products come in. Thanks, Grommet.
Thats exactly right DJP! And...Your food will stay fresher longer, saving you even more $$$!
Very clever - I'm sure I could find about 15 poorly closed bags right now between snacks and freezer items. Very useful product!
Here is a little list of some possible uses for THE GRIPSTIC...
A day's Grommet gets shared and talked about in several places. This tweet came from @BeccaTarantino:
Yet another cool find from @dailygrommet. Be gone stale bags of chips and broken chip clips.

I bought a couple of sets of these and they work great! I was impressed with how easy they are to use.
actually a ?
price seems high. since sealers have been out there for some time, methinks it would be helpful to indicate how many uses, on average,
before sealers no longer hold
Hi @Barbara -- Actually I don’t see any reason why these would stop working or ever wear out; the plastic is strong and flexible. You'll have these for a long time and I'm sure will feel you've gotten your money's worth!
No matter what kind of bag sealers I have used...I always end up resorting to bulldog clips because they're just easier...but these gripsticks, I think will be the exception. They are GREAT. Easy and super secure. One of those ideas that is so simple and efficent...it's a stroke of genius.
@ek - I agree,I love ours and have completely adopted them into our kitchen. One thing I didn't realize when I purchased them is how that straight bar across the top makes it easy to grab and carry a bag, too.
Would these work to reseal the bottom of a pouch of applesauce in order to refill it? The squeezable pouch has a top with a cap to drink/suck the applesauce. Can the Gripstick be trimmed to make them shorter to fit the pouch?
@ginny: They would keep the bottom of the applesauce tightly closed in order to refill it. It would not be easy to trim one. I wouldn't say impossible, because I can see a very handy shopsmith who has precision cutting tools and an inventive mind could probably accomplish this feat!
very useful product,do anyone know the patent#? since I am in the patent field. I would like to look up their application.
@feebee: You may need to use your skills as someone in the patent field to uncover it. I don't have that information.
This is the second time that we have featured Gripstic and are continuing the conversation here. Let us know what questions you have!
We bought some of these last time they were offered and they are wonderful! We use them all the time. They are extremely easy to use and store conveniently. Thanks :-)
Why does this page go back and forth about the quantity in the assorted pack? 12 or 15?
Something is wrong with the amounts in the description. Currently the only available option is 12 pack of assorted sealers, the "read more" section talks about 15 pack, and the "details" section describes assorted pack of 3.
Sorry about the confusion! We had some details that weren't updated from the previous feature. The Gripstic Assorted Pack of 12: contains (4) 11.25” Green, (4) 8.75” Orange, (4) 7.25” Purple
I was convinced until you said "Made in Korea". With our economy is such dire straits, I "Buy American" if at all possible.
@Linda: We absolutely love that you are a conscious consumer and encourage that. This was invented by a Korean gentleman and is truly best in its class for sealing bags back up. Much of the proceeds of a purchase will go to the retailer (Daily Grommet in this case!) and we are all very grateful when you purchase the discoveries that we share with you from us. It's what keeps Daily Grommet going and our team employed. Another smaller piece of the revenue will go to Gripstic's American distribution team. So don't think that your purchase of a Korean made product only keeps Koreans employed. I'm waving my hand as one of the Americans who will stay employed by your purchases.
My finger joints are inflamed so it hurts to use my hands. In addition (or as a result?), I have weak hands. How much force does it take to put these on and to remove them?
@Judy: If you can fold over the top of a bag and use your fingers to give it a nice smooth crisp edge, sliding the Gripstic on and off does not take a lot of force. I hope that this will work for you, it's a great product.
I bought these stics and would love to use them, but I just can't figure it out to get the yellow inside out of the stic so that I can follow the rest of the instructions.
Could you perhaps provide a few tips please.
@vanessa vd schyff: Once you get the hang of it, you will love them! You do not move the yellow inside stick at all. It stays in place. Smooth out the bag so that there are no folds along the area where you will be sealing and make sure to fold over the bag along the seal line and give it a good crease. Now simply slide the Gripstic on the bag such that the yellow inside stick slides along the inside and the Green/Orange/Purple part slides over the top.
I couldn't wait to get these, and they are everything I hoped they would be. I especially like them for frozen vegetables and similar packages. These keep my freezer tidy and provide a total seal that prevents spillouts.
@Celia Cordero: We're glad that you are pleased with your purchase. Thanks for stopping back to share.
+They work well,BUT there are'nt enough of the longest one AND the middle size is an inch short. Great idea however.
@Pat Forster: Thanks for that feedback. The smallest one is useful for many of the smaller bags such as skinny pretzel bags, bags of carrots, or frozen vegetables.
I love them. My only complaint is that you only sell them in multi size. I bought them and now want more of the small ones only. I am glad to have the multi size pack but, I do need more of the small ones. Because they are not flexible, the large ones will not allow some cabinet doors to close, too much unneeded room in the freezer etc. Please allow us to purchase what we need. As a senior without grandchildren in the same state, I do not need more of the Large ones. I use the ones that I have but need more of the small size.
@Lois: Thank you for sharing how the Gripstic works best for you. We'll pass along your suggestion.
Clever product, but am writing because I agree with Lois above that the sizes are too large. For my use, even the smallest size is quite large.
@James Shields: Thank you for sharing your perspective.
